Checking in to flight home from Lihue was a bit time-consuming and chaotic. We had to remind ourselves this is a regional airport, not LAX. Other than that, experience was pleasant, and we were happy to fly 'the only airlines that still serves complimentary food and beverages'.

Although it’s best known for Disneyland, Anaheim has a lot more to offer than just cartoon characters and fairground rides. Home to major league baseball and hockey teams and some excellent restaurants, it’s a great destination for an action-packed weekend away.

John Wayne Airport is the closest arrival point for passengers traveling to Anaheim. Located around 20 minutes from the city, the airport offers regular flights to a number of cities across the US as well as handful of destinations in Canada and Mexico. The local 76 bus route serves the airport on weekdays and the Disneyland Resort also runs regular express services to the terminal.
