Leaving Las Vegas

Flights from Las Vegas depart from McCarran International Airport, which is 4 miles southwest of the center of Las Vegas. To get to the airport, you have several transportation options. Taxi, limousine or shuttle services are available, and you can also drop off a rental car at the airport. Also, the Regional Transportation Authority of Southwest Nevada provides bus service to and from the airport. Most of the major airlines fly in and out of McCarran, including Delta, US Air, American Airlines and United Airlines.

McCarran International Airport is divided into two separate terminals: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. It is important to determine from which terminal your flight departs, and this information is printed on your tickets. If you need parking, both terminals offer short-term, long-term and valet parking in a covered garage. Surface parking in the economy parking lot is also available. Long-term parking rates are a maximum of $14 per day in the covered garage and $10 per day in the surface lots.

If you would like to eat before departing on your trip, there are a variety places to choose from at both terminals. You can get a quick bite at Burger King, grab a pastry at Cinnabon or enjoy ice cream from Carvels. Whatever the preference, there is something for everyone, even if you are looking for a bargain.
