I've stayed on the property before and my previous experience motivated me to stay there again. The desk clerk that checked me in was not very friendly - as if he was mad I had questions about the property. I booked a junior suite, not cheap -- so I expected the room to be comfy & quiet. It was far from that. In the bedroom, I could hear the elevators dragging at all hours. It sounded as though an upstairs neighbor was dragging a couch back and forth across the floor. I arrived to check in very late on the first night so the noise was minimal -- I assume all guest were asleep and the elevators were not being used. I booked through Orbitz so I had to work with both the hotel and the booking service for any "fixes." Mario, a member of the hotel staff, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional as we attempted to work this issue together. I was refunded half the cost of the room for the first night. Because I identified the issue on the second night, they attempted to find me a new room for the last night. There was no partial refund provided for the second night, as I had requested through Orbitz -- I had to remain in the very loud, unpeaceful room. Very disappointing. When I was moved the next day, it was to the other side of the property (no noise thankfully), but into a smaller room. For the amount that I paid or that anyone pays to stay in this hotel, room 431 should not be available to any patron if the elevator is not fixed.
