The listing is spot on. The front bedroom is noisy at night. The facilities were very clean and friendly. The area is perfect for shopping and dining. Would definitely consider this one again.

Great location, views, people…

Nice condo and wonderful accessories. We came to Playa for a family wedding and this condominium structure was able to accommodate us in (5) separate units. Awesome location to all activities and great restaurants.

Wonderful stay.

Fantastic property. Security 24/7. Paco at front desk was a true gentleman and extremely helpful. Cabs available right up the street. Walked to Walmart a few times. Les Amies cafe right next door. Tony made Fantastic breakfast with homemade breads. Los Tabernachos, Quebec owners, incredible food and bloody ceasers. Rooftop Club across 5th Avenue was loud at night but never bothered us. Very clean safe condo Always felt safe even on our daily walks thru Playa del Carmen would go back anytime. Zenzi beach bar and restaurant by the front entrance was always great

Perfect first trip to Mexico

We were visiting Playa del Carmen from Australia for the first time. I'd done hours of research for accommodation and thus condo did not disappoint. The property itself is perfect. 2 min walk to 5th Avenue with all the shops, bars & restaurants. Next door to Les Amis which we visited daily for breakfast baguettes and the best fresh juices. The pool and beach area is superb. Plenty of sun lounges and umbrellas and even a masseuse which gave me the best back massage I've ever had. The condo itself was also great. Very spacious and well equipped. The roof terrace is an added bonus and the kids loved the plunge pool in the afternoons when the main pool was in the shade. We walked the beach and decided El Faro is definitely the best condo on the beach in Playa del Carmen. You can't go wrong & we'd highly recommend. A couple of very minor points, the shower in the main bedroom leaks & becomes a trip hazard when using the toilet (very slippery). We had to mop it up with towels each day. An easy fix for the maintenance crew. Used towels were not replaced by the housekeeping service which left us short on face clothes for the kids. It is loud as per previous comments. The noise starts early ~8.30/9pm and goes until all hours but we managed to sleep through no problem. All in all a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

Beautiful condo in party district

This place is gorgeous- lovely furnishings, beach front with a beautiful pool. Food and shopping abound. But be warned: Cento district is the night club district and there is *EXTREMELY LOUD MUSIC* until 2am. We loved out stay at the condo but the roof top night clubs made it impossible to have a decent night sleep anywhere in the Centro district

Nice condo

We love the pool, location, and rooftop was nice. Next time though we will select a different condo in same residence. I say that only because it’s so extremely loud every night from 9pm till 3am due to clubs. If noise wouldn’t bother you than I say stay here.

Exactly as described

Our condo was clean, air conditioning worked great and exactly as described. Communication with the owner was spot on. I would definitely consider staying here again if I make a trip back to playa Del Carmen.

Not fit to be rented- BE AWARE

Checked in one of the AC units were broken and not disclosed or advised prior to date. although it had been down for two weeks. Had luke warm water first night and NO HOT WATER the other days. Property Management sent someone that kept saying it was the breaker flipping. It was NOT the breaker and we took cold showers the entire trip. left food (bread, snacks, chips) on the kitchen counter while out and about. Came back to an ant infestation and had to throw away all the food we just bought. Still waiting on management to call me and discuss how they are planning on making this right. This unit should not be listed for rental until it is serviced and brought up to code. We have stayed several times at El Faro over the years , (which is a beautiful property) but BE AWARE IF THIS UNIT!!!

Lovely

I loved waking up and sitting outside the balcony. Looking beyond the Caribbean while drinking a cup of tea and chatting with friends on what to do today. It had a relaxing vibe and felt like our own home. One week is not enough.

El Faro Residence

Overall, I have to give the property 2-stars. First, the positives -- The host and the management company (off-site) responded promptly to all communications. Staff was courteous, professional, and helpful. The room was clean and had a fantastic balcony. The pool was clean and not too large. The parking (for an additional cost) in the garage below was worth the price of the convenience. The reason why I am giving this property 2-stars is because of how it was marketed. This property should only be marketed as 2-beds. The pull out in the sofa has an extremely thin mattress and 50% of the springs that hold the canvas that supports the mattress were missing. So essentially, the mattress was sinking below the frame and resting on the floor. No one adult or child could realistically sleep on it. The other reason is the room top "pool" is not a hot tub. And, to be fair, no where on the advertisement describes this "pool" as a hot tub, but it appears like a hot tub and when I asked the host prior to booking if we had access to the hot tube, I was never corrected. Last two final thoughts which did not impact the stars given which is worth sharing is 1) the ocean immediately in front of the property has lots of sea grass and the first ~100 yards of water was brown not blue -- causing kids to not want to swim in it. 2) The property is very close to the shopping area which is fantastic, although at night that same area turns into a club scene which blasts music until 1-2AM.

Best view in playa del Carmen

Right choice to stay at this place. Direct beach access, very clean apartment with all needed amenities, infinity swimming pool to enjoy later evening. Walking distance to shopping, Ferry, food , pharmacy, big store and transportation. Enjoy local food on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Municipal plaza park. Clean beach with beach access shower. Comfortable sleeping. If you are bringing your own car, make sure to buy overnight parking at building basement. It will come handy. Definitely coming back. Love Playa del Carmen.

Great Stay.

The condo is very nice and as described. The views of the Sea are great and the roof top dipping pool was an added bonus! The front desk staff are always friendly. The pool is one of the best we have used! From the condo it is easy walking to everything you need. I would highly recommend it! Being close to Fifth ave. there can be quite a bit of noise coming from the clubs in the evenings. As well there was quite a lot of seaweed along the shore (I think this is an issue nearly everywhere in the Caribbean this year though). Overall it was a fantastic place to stay!

Great Location

We enjoyed our time at the condo. It is in a great location to walk to many different restaurants and shopping on 5th Ave. The front desk was very helpful with storing our luggage. The condo was just as described. Overall, very happy with our time there.

Great condo, beautiful area

We have been going to Playa Del Carmen for over 20 years. We love the area and all it has to offer. The condo at El Taj is very nice and has everything one needs. The view is amazing, the roof top dipping pool allows the view and is very relaxing! Benjamin, the property manager, is excellent and on time! (which is huge). He is a great communicator. The front desk staff are always friendly. The pool is beautiful! It's easy walking to very good restaurants, bars and shopping. Highly recommend it!
