Super. Everything was great.
You can't go wrong with any POD hotels in NYC, and that includes this one. If you're doing an overnight (I'm tri-state) or traveling in as a tourist to see the city, this place will meet your needs. Clean and well maintained hotel, friendly staff (housekeeping even wished me a good morning on my way out), and close to everything either by walking or using the 60th street subway. I've stayed here many times and I've been happy with each of those stays.
You need a refresh. Bathroom WAY too small
Even though it is in the city it’s very relaxing.
This was a great place to stay. The room was small, in typical NYC style, as was the bathroom. But there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Housekeeping did the room up every day without being asked. It was quiet. The location is great, close to two different metro lines. Being across the street from Greenacre Park was a real bonus. I'd definitely stay here again.
Convenient and budget friendly place to stay if for work in Midtown. Some noise comes from the hallways - people constantly opening and closing the doors, and there are lots of rooms on the floor as you can imagine. I wish there was a hot water station somewhere in the lobby and a place to discard the garbage from take out, I couldn’t find any. The roof is very nice, so is the side garden. Relatively quiet for Manhattan, lots of places to eat nearby
I was pleasantly surprised with my stay. I got a private bathroom room. It was comfortable and clean. The heat was a bit funky (cold then it kicked in and got warm then cold) but for the price it was perfect. Close to train. Bed was fine. Not the most comfortable but plenty of pillows for a fine sleep. I’ll stay here again
I was on a low budget and was looking for a simple place that would not have unpleasant conditions. The Pod 51 exceeded my expectations above and beyond!!! The beds are very comfortable and neat, and the hotel is quiet, relaxing, lean, and always smells good!! There are cleaning services working and doing a phenomenal job every day. The front desk staff has impressive service as well. Best of the all- location is perfect! I came here for one night, extended for a week, and will surely return.
Convenient location.
The size was exactly as expected. The air conditioner unit was locted directly above my head and situated in the window such that the blinds could not close fully.
The staff were very bland and unwelcoming. Air conditioner was full of mold, so I had to open the window and sweat for 4 days and deal with city noise. I got food poisoning (not from the hotel) and they would not let me order delivery up to my room when I could not get out of bed. They just really didn’t seem to care at all about their guests. Would never stay here again.
