Check-in was quick and easy. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and so patient with our autistic son who was celebrating his 20th birthday and living out his self-confessed lifelong dream to stay at this hotel and ride the elevators there. The clerk was extremely knowledgeable about the hotel as he had worked there since the mid-1980s. He traded fun-facts with our son throughout the check-in process about the hotel and hotel elevators' history. He put us in two wonderful rooms, each with an excellent view of Times Square. We had a wonderful stay. Really enjoyed the meal credit per room after a long day on our feet. And checkout was quick and easy as well. Would definitely stay there again.

We had late check out at 12. He tried to use the elevators to return to our rooms on 33rd floor at 11:30 and key cards had expired. It was a whole ordeal just to get back to our hotel room and get our luggage. Not a great way to end the trip.
