Pool, bar and beach location

The location is very convenient on ocean front, and parking also across the street. We liked room which was spacious and updated, especially bath, the stay was pleasant with bar and pool which create vacation mode. Also check in experience was nice taking agent online. We need to add that some cosmetic required for the hall and elevator but this doesn't spoil our stay

Rooms are clean, Checking in was difficult & rude. Parking is in parking deck across the street. Elevator’s and hallway is dirty and wires hanging down from ceiling. Breakfast was described as a hot breakfast and it was cold, cereal and toast. I would stay again just because it’s on the beach.

I had an oceanfront room. Room was fine, newly renovated. Walk-in shower with NO place to put shower items except floor of shower. Check-in was awful, they use a kiosk with someone on a camera, however there were staff members at desk, it was loud and didn't go well. No cable TV service for 24hrs, it needed to be re-programmed and no one on premise who could do it until next morning. And then, no discussion about reimbursement to me for not having all of the amenities advertised. Dirty linens left in shower and I was asked if I wanted them removed. Room phone unplugged and stored under night stand, no way to contact front desk, and they didn't know their phones were not plugged in. A texting service was used which was also not helpful or useful as who ever was monitoring did not respond in a timely manner or at all. So disappointed with my stay I left a 630am, tired of being there with all that had happened. So disappointed.

The hotel room was very dirty, as soon as we walked in I noticed one of the bed frames were broken, the bathroom light did not work, and the sink was clogged. The tub was dirty as well. When I brought this to there attention they stated it would be fixed but when I returned to my room, still some things were not fixed.

There excuse for not cleaning is Covid. Instead cleaning double they are NOT AT ALL. They will not clean your room or give You toileters. They wont give you toileters even when You ask them for it. At the hallways stinks so bad You have to cover your nose or You going to vomit as I did once. The Wi-Fi doesnt work. You can't call from your room to front desk. Remote control for the TV also doesn't work. The carpets and elevators are super disgusting. In the elevators there are holes in the wall. Breakfast is far from good or healthy. Machine for coffee or juice and it taste horrible, cheapest unhealthy yogurts and cereals, bagels with jello, honey or cream cheese,bad quality muffins, apple or banana- thats all. They just opened the pool after reconstruction and looks good. I think this must be the worst hotel in Virginia Boardwalk. Whatever they will write in a response will be a lie. They don't care about customers.

So rundown and such a shame because staff was pretty nice and location is awesome but wouldn’t ever stay there again!

Stepping out of the hotel, walking across the boardwalk, and being right on the sand was a huge plus! Such convenience! Pool was nice (a little small), although we only used it once. Pool deck had lots of standing water puddles around edges of pool area, but chairs, tables, and potted flowers around pool were nice. The hotel is run down (lots of scrapes on the walls from luggage carts; small/narrow elevators are older; ceiling in our room had obviously had water damage at one point in time; shelf missing/ripped off in shower; etc.), but it was clean/cleaned (one evening there was a mess in the stairwell - someone had dropped a soda down the stairs, next morning the entire staircase was clean again). Staff seemed friendly in person; over phone they seemed a bit abrupt. Restaurant next door does have live music 6 pm until 10:30 or 11 pm which we could hear a little bit even thru our closed doors on the 5th floor but since we have older kids it didn't effect bedtime at all. Plus, this same restaurant next door had GREAT food so that was a plus too. Was actually nice to sit out on the hotel balcony and listen to the music while having a soda after dinner. But if noise is a concern for you, request to be in the North wing, not the South side. Hallways are narrow and double check that your door closes all the way (they don't just close on their own) before you leave for your adventures! Overall, definitely 3 out of 5 stars: decent place to crash after a day on the beach/boardwalk!

the breakfast was lousy. there was not a good variety . they should have said it was a continental breakfast. you had to make your own waffles and toast. the person that came to clean the room when I was there was constantly on the phone. couple of times I had to request soap and towel set up from her

Hotel is old, but would be better if owners cared about making quality fixes. There is chiipped paint everywhere, paunt not coming all the way to seem of wall, chipped toulet seat, etc. I liked hotel design so that you can see kids in pool from balcony.

Great staff !! The property needs some fixing. Location is great.

Appears there was water damage on the first floor, as hall carpets were wet, and deodorizers were laid out every few feet to cover the smell. There was mold on the walls near the ceiling and on a lamp shade. The bathroom sink would not drain. Very unfortunate they did not relocate those who had rooms on the first floor, as the above floors did not appear to have the same issues. Fantastic location on the beach, and the staff was pleasant, bu the room was very disappointing.

The hotel room was very dirty, as soon as we walked in I noticed one of the bed frames were broken, the bathroom light did not work, and the sink was clogged. The tub was dirty as well. When I brought this to there attention they stated it would be fixed but when I returned to my room, still some things were not fixed.
