The pictures of the room showed false advertisement. The double queen beds per night were starting at $130 but I chose a room priced for $230 because The picture showed a jacuzz tub in the room, however, No Jacuzzi was in the room only a shower.

I liked the pool. I wish they had a hot tub and sauna. I also liked the 24/7 fitness canter. The breakfast was good. But, staff began removing food items, and the made-to-order line closed at 9:00 am, instead of 9:30 am, as advertised.

I stay here whenever in Newport News. The free breakfast can get crazy when the hotel is at max capacity but they do a good job of handling it despite guests abusing the hours of the breakfast.

Chris Brown Concert

Stayed for the Chris Brown concert and coliseum was literal right next door so that was awesome! The hotel was beautiful and clean and the room was so comfortable and spacious. My sister and I loved our stay! Will definitely stay again!

I want to love this place due to the convenience of the location but the truth is it’s hardly worth the price. The positives are that it’s in the same lot as Hampton Coliseum so walking to shows is a breeze. The beds have extremely comfortable blankets and sheets however the pillows are almost unusable they’re so flat. The breakfast buffet in the morning is also excellent and the custom omelette station is a great touch. But at over $300/night it leaves much to be desired. The rooms are moderately clean at best. The mini fridge had the freezer iced over so badly it was unusable. The bathroom was covered with stains and spots and soap scum. The carpets had tons of stains. At breakfast when I tried to get seltzer from the soda fountain it sprayed out a bunch of black particles and mess. This is my second year in a row staying here and it’s only gotten worse in my opinion. I hope either the prices improve or the quality and attention to detail improve otherwise I’m not sure I’ll return.

Happy hour in the evening and breakfast in the morning are a big bonus. I didn't like that the Cyprus Grill was no longer in use and the menu was reduced significantly. There was some questionable stain on the ceiling of the bathroom.

During my time at the property, I encountered bugs and roaches in my room and on the bed (I have pictures), and there was an alarm that prompted the evacuation of the property for 2 hours, causing me to miss my scheduled event. To add to the ordeal, my car window was broken in the parking lot, despite the presence of security personnel (per witness and video footage). An attempted theft occurred, as evidenced by a filed police report. As a result of the damage, I had to cover the cost of the window replacement out of pocket. As a result of my driver-side window being broken, I had to drive back from Hampton, VA to my residence for two and a half hours in the heat with no window. I promptly scheduled an appointment to have my window replaced and the earliest I could get an appointment was on Thursday, June 13, 2024. This caused me to miss work due to the potential violation of being unable to see clearly through the plastic used to protect my vehicle. Furthermore, upon checking in, I was compelled by the front desk representative to pay for parking to prevent my car from being towed. In light of these significant issues, I requested a full refund for replacing my driver-side window twice, but no one has attempted to contact me. The incidents have been verified by the front desk representatives and Expedia customer service. Although I received a full refund for my stay, it still seems as if I paid for the room because I had to replace my broken window. Please refund my money.

Within a week, we stayed twice at the property. Breakfast ended at 10:30am, room was clean, property was clean... people were friendly. No issues. The second time we stayed and checked out on Monday... room was dirty. Bathroom floor filthy, the fan in the bathroom wasnt working. Couch had something on it that was biting us. Was told that Breakfast ended at 9am on the weekdays. 9am??? Definitely wasnt happy about that at all!
