Some minor issues (bathroom vent fan, hair dryer not functional). Hair dryer issue would have been resolved had we reported it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great oceanview balcony. Restaurant food is a plus. This was our first visit to Virginia Beach and would consider a return to this location. The biggest problem involved the road construction traffic congestion inbound and outbound.

It was an excellent place to stay. The staff was phenomenal. We did not have any issues at all. Their elevator was down, but they accommodated the residence extremely well. They had a staff member stay in the elevator and help residence to get to their floors. They did a great job in a really difficult situation. The view from the hotel is amazing The boardwalk outside is incredible. You just can’t get a better place to stay!

Good if looking for a value. Desk staff courteous. Parking easy. Pool is small. (Capacity 15). Restaurant/bar is only open til 8pm. Room was spacious but toilet would run unless handle is wiggled. We left do not disturb on door by accident and asked to have room serviced around 4pm but said the cleaning staff had left.

I’ve stayed at a few properties on Virginia Beach over the years and none I’d go back to. However, The Capes is on my list of hotels I’d rebook. The rooms were clean; the property was clean. The indoor pool was warm and seemed pretty clean. They offer an on-site restaurant. I did not try this time around so I can’t speak to the food there. They also offer ample parking that is easily accessible. I guess if I were to offer one thing I’d like to see, it’d be a soap rack in the shower or towel rack on wall by the sink, nit picky but I figured I’d throw it out there. The staff was very friendly as well. Great stay!
