Nice updated rooms however didn’t care for the connecting door as could hear other guests in the next room. At one point the guest in the connecting room tried to open the door and was shaking it and turning the knob, kinda scary! Liked the hot tub however could only use for 15 minutes as it closed at 9, a bit early in my opinion.

Convenience but not spectacular

Again the convenience from the Trans Canada was our reason for staying here. Comfort was OK, but we found that the laminate floors were dirty. After showering and walking around the room our feet were not clean.

Exécrable, déception totale

A notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons constaté que sur la douillette blanche, il y avait des morceaux de terre sèche ou je-ne-sais-quoi! Il y avait des résidus blancs à terre sur le tapis, et une canette de bière qui traînait sur le comptoir sous la TV. En plus plusieurs sacs à vidanges étaient dans le passage, ainsi qu’un morceau de Tim bits, et à notre retour le soir, le jeune homme de la réception est venu dans la chambre à côté et il n’a rien ramassé dans le passage. Nous avons demandé de changer de chambre à la réception. Le jeune homme nous a donné une autre chambre à deux lits Queen qui étaient un peu plus propre, mais la TV ne fonctionnait pas le micro-ondes à boucané, le séchoir à cheveux ne fonctionnait pas, et il y avait des cheveux noirs dans le lavabo de la salle de bain. Nous avons remis la photo à la Préposées à la réception à notre départ, et lui avons dit que nous étions vraiment déçu, nous lui avons demandé un crédit, mais elle me dit que c’est de votre côté que vous devez agir. J’attends de vos nouvelles.

Rooms were terrible, dirty carpets, stain sheets, door to pool side didnt lock. Gave us another room, and was not much better other than sheets were ok, and there was no carpets, toilet was cracked and the watwr pressure was not even enough to get the soap out of your hair.

Decent place to stay, nice beds and good location

The Superior Inn was a decent place to stay on our trip to Thunder Bay. The bathroom had 2 sinks which was nice and the shower was very roomy. The shower head wasn't adjustable so it was more of a spray down than the kind of shower head we usually use. There is a closet in the room with ample place to store shoes and luggage bags. The room was clean with laminate floors. The beds were VERY comfortable- even the rollaway bed, which was a really nice and welcome thing to have. There were a few minor maintenance issues that we shared as we left so I am not sure how well they deal with maintenance requests. The pool area was good. Unbeknownst to us, the water slide was only open a limited time- luckily one of the times was one of the nights we were there. There were a few lifeguards on duty while the slide was but they were more interested in chatting amongst themselves than actually manning the water slide, which made the slide line go very slowly as the kids on the slide had to watch for the person in front of them to go down the slide. There was a chair at the top of the slide for a lifeguard, but all 3 lifeguards were sitting at the bottom talking. There is a grocery store right next door, which was nice to have, as well as a pharmacy right across the street. And it is very easy to get to the main road so the location was excellent for us. This isn't the best hotel we've ever stayed at but it wasn't the worst either.

It was good to see that they are providing parking "passes" to put on your dash. The elevator was out the next morning but was already running by the time we checked out which was nice as my husband is using a walker.

Staff were very good. Place looked nicer in photos than in person, but still clean and secure. Water slide was not operational, which was a big draw for the family, but pool was still good to go. Security was prompt to deal with an unfortunate neighbour situation

I really want to give the property a positive review, but I just can't. Our room was on the opposite end of the single access doors; pool view but no easy access to pool (had to walk all the way to front entrance area), it was unclean and weirdly dark in our room and hallways, and I found a dirty bandaid in the ice bucket. When I asked for a replacement, they didn't have any other ice buckets and insisted, repeatedly, that I stand there and wait for them to clean it. The kids loved the pool and waterslide, and the location was convenient.

Room felt dirty - i wont take my shoes off. Room wasn't tended to by house keeping for the entirety of my stay. There was people yelling outside my room windows in the evening hours. Felt unsafe.

Great place to say Dave the manager great manager A++ for that guy very helpful when others were a problem and not very helpful was there for multiple events cle, races , birthday , and family get together lake of spruce restaurant good food and helpful as well
