Waited at the front desk for ten minutes before the clerk came in and checked me in. She didn't ask if I had been waiting or apologize for making me do so. No coffeemaker in the room which is kind of standard these days. Towels are super thin. Soap is pretty nasty and the shampoo bottle was partly used. The staff does not make this place feel at all welcoming. I would not stay here again.

Absolutely nothing. Hotel is dated the room and hallways smelled with mildew. The bed mattress was sunk in the fingerprints all over the microwave and refrigerator as though it had never been cleaned as well as the shower. I would never stay here again.

I checked in and checked right back out. Entire hotel is run down and dirty. Hair, dirt, & debris all over the bathroom. Entire building smelled of smoke, mildew, & mold covered by air freshener. Beds, curtains, lamp shades are stained yellowed from smoke. When I tried to get a refund and the manager insisted my room was clean. Orbiz insisted that the hotel must be the one to issue the refund but manager insisted through employee that I try another room on the second floor. When I tried to go to this room I could not find the button to the elevator because it was broken and pressed into the panel. At this point I insisted that this other room can’t be any better as the entire building was run down and not clean and inviting as the photos portray on the Orbiz listing. The manager told me through her employee that I broke the elevator button & passed on to Orbiz that I was not getting a refund. When I called hotel in the morning to speak to the next manager I was told there was not one that she answers to. When I questioned if she was the owner she told me no and that it’s a Choice Hotel. I filed a complaint with Choice Hotels and was told that the GM of Roadway Inn would contact me. It has been 4 days and no response in reguards to these issues. Stay anywhere else. Location of this hotel means nothing, I would drive 30 miles if other hotels were full in area. I’m absolutely appalled at what passes as a hotel. With photo proof of issues Orbiz should have authority to refund.

Hotel needs a facelift and a bug guy Will not be staying there again

We were allowed to check in early. The staff was super nice and the beds were comfortable. The location is great! The staff (especially the lady that checked us in) is super friendly! However, the full breakfast isn't all that full unless you have something against scrambled eggs, sausage, and or bacon being a part of your breakfast. No meat at all and the food smelled funny. The building is really old and you can tell. There is only one elevator and a few stair wells. The carpet in the elevator was not vacuumed at all in the three days we were there and neither were the corridors. I saw the same trash and food on it that was there when we checked in, Bring your own towels because linen is scarce. Like really hot and decent length baths? Not in the mornings-lukewarm HARD water. I recommended it because the location is great and you can get a good nights sleep. The rooms are spacious and have a fridge, microwave, ironing board and iron.

Check in was very confusing as the computer was doing an unexpected update of some sort and the clerk was having a hard time getting me checked in. Another clerk came up to help and things turned very confusing as they were both working on other things at the same time and not getting anywhere with my needs. The continental breakfast was a real disappointment. The crock with the sausage gravy in it was coated with spilled gravy. The waffle area was nasty with spilled waffle batter.. There was never anybody taking care of the clean-up of that area. It was NOT very inviting at all. And when I went to the desk to check out and ask for a receipt, I was told that would have to be taken up with the booking company. I was never made aware of that at the time of booking. All in all, we were very disappointed in the stay. The staff was friendly all around, just not very professional.

Room was clean but mattress was not comfortable. The garden along the sidewalk is full to enter pool & side entrance is dead & full of old cigarette butts.

They screwed up and lost my money. Refused to believe I paid even after speaking to my bank, the fraud dept and giving them my bank statement.

We had to stay here last minute everyone was very helpful

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times. Very good. No problems whatsoever. You get what you pay for, but on the other hand it's a great hotel. Exceeds the price.

We stayed at this hotel about 3 years ago. Since then it has deteriorated. The Air conditioner was not secured properly to the wall. The toilet had dark stains. The hallways looked dingy. The stairwells had boxes, etc. stored. On an exit door the handle was missing. The elevator was extremely stuffy and made it hard to breath.

Hotel it's ok,night Indian lady manager was no polite,kind of rude,otherwise hotel is average for the price.

Overall the hotel was okay. We realize it is an older hotel and probably should be updated. Room had a smell when you entered it - and a cockroach was in the bathroom. The bed was great - slept well. Our room was cleaned very well so we praise the cleaning people.

It was fine. Staff very very nice and helpful. Only issue was had to leave early and no coffee at 5:45 am. Other than that it was good.

To say the least, it was a place to sleep. However, the hotel is in a less than satisfactory condition, needs updating, 1st time staying at a 1 star hotel, now I understand why it's rating is such.

Perfect spot to rest for the night. Could use a little renovation in bathroom.

I have never written a review before but I think this needs to be done.
