The space
Cedar House, perched atop a hill in the Central District, is just a short walk from Capitol Hill. This expansive 2,500 sqft home is ideal for a family retreat or a gathering with friends. The standout feature is the custom-built cedar hot tub, which comfortably accommodates up to 10 people.

Inside, you'll discover a beautifully renovated 1901 historic home that seamlessly blends modern comforts with its original charm. With three spacious bedrooms, it's perfect for both families and groups. After a day of exploring the city, relax in the living area or enjoy a rejuvenating soak in the cedar hot tub, nestled in the large, tranquil yard. The lush garden offers ample space for relaxation, outdoor meals, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
Guest access
We have one driveway with 4 parking spots but it is a tandem driveway and all cars have to be tandem parked. If you don't want to drive, public transport is a 5 minute walk.
Other things to note
The house is old and we have tried our best to keep the original architecture with modern finishes. It is not a newer built home.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 3.5 bathrooms, and a balcony. There's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a coffee maker, an ironing board, and a desk.

Kitchen is amazing. Living room and dining room were great. Beautiful yard with fire pit. The stairs to 2nd and 3rd floor are VERY steep, so keep that in mind. It’s awesome that it has 4 bathrooms.

It was relaxing. Great kitchen with everything you wou need. Enjoyed the plums and apples from the tree. Had a rabbit come visit us in backyard. Living room and dining area was great space to have traveling masseuse come and give us massages. Will definitely come again

I downgraded due to the theft that occurred on the day when I checked out. I left currency in a white envelope hidden and according to the owner could not be located. The owner lacked any effort to check the location (waiting on his cleaning team to report the results of the search, I waited a week and contacted him on the status and then he informed me the envelope could not be found. In addition, several issues with cleanliness of the home, ice machine jammed, a ripped bath towel, no cleaning materials for bathtub after usage, teflon pan that was scratched, one plate was cracked, and the out door hand rails had wood splinters and the driveway is so small and cramped you can not fit a standard vehicle and no parking available in the front of the home. The area appears to be rundown streets are narrow due to cars parked on the street. Improvements are providing a step stool to reach kitchen items, dish rack for cleaning pots, Dish towels for washing the kitchen counters and a book of grocery stores and eating establishments.

Beautiful house, so clean, so comfortable

My colleagues and I stayed at this property during a work trip. The house was just as pictured. It’s an older house that has been beautifully renovated. The beds were so comfortable, the living room was so comfortable and it has a really nice kitchen. We were in walking distance to restaurants and coffee shops. Our host was really responsive when we needed anything or had questions. I highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay here. It was indeed a retreat. We enjoyed the walkability of the neighborhood and access to all the city amenities. The cedar hottub was awesome! We didn’t get to use the sauna and the soaking tub but both were very enticing.
