If you live in Cleveland and want to see what the Pacific Northwest has to offer in terms of food, fun and natural beauty, fly from Cleveland to Seattle/Tacoma. Once your plane has departed from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), you'll find yourself in the middle of the Puget Sound region in less than five hours.
Hotels, restaurants and shops are concentrated downtown, which is also home to the Seattle Art Museum. Foodies can browse the offerings in and around the enormous Pike Place Market, where artisanal food producers sell fresh delicacies. Smack on some gum and stick it on Seattle s notorious gum wall just below the Market. Once you've had your fill, check out the views of the city and the sound from the Space Needle, the Sky View Observatory or Waterfront Park. If you head to the Space Needle, plan to spend a few hours admiring the work at the neighboring Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit at the Seattle Center.
