Cleanliness and location on the Riverwalk in San Antonio

Very clean and quiet in a great location on the river. Staff were professional and polite and clearly communicated everything they are doing to protect customers during COVID 19. We felt very comfortable here. Highly recommend

I loved the location of the property. I would have liked a balcony on the upper level.

The balcony room was beautiful. However the walls are paper thin. All night I heard dogs barking, people running up and down the halls, and at 230am I was awakened by music blasting in the room next door. I call the front desk and they did handle it quickly. I just wish there was better sound proofing.

The staff was hit or miss. Some were very friendly and helpful, some were rude and clueless. The room itself was decent, except the outlets need some updates. Nothing stayed plugged in! Minor, but frustrating when you have electronics.

Booked a room from El Paso 8 hours away. Would not allow us to cancel an hour later when an emergency came up. Thanks!

I stayed at this hotel from 12/16 through 12/18. First, pets are allowed at this hotel so beware (I saw small dogs to pitbulls). Second, there was a roach on our toilet seat. Third, the bathroom sink was clogged, but a maintenance person came about an hour after notification to remedy. Fourth, no microwave in the room. Fifth, there is no mandatory assistance with your bags, so it's discretionary whether the valet who parks cars will assist your luggage; even though I had a sleeping 5 year to carry to my room, the young valet said he wouldn't help with my bags on Monday evening. Sixth, the guest attendant was professional, accommodating and nice as she found a room close to the elevator and not near a pet. Seventh, I recommend the breakfast at the hotel (not complimentary). Eighth, the room was spacious with high ceilings and clean except for a coffee maker that hadn't been emptied.

The bathroom fan was not functioning. Other than that everything met my expectations and more.

Nice place overall.....not spectacular, but good. Restaurant was really good.....New Orleans style Cajun.

As I checked in late at night I found my bedding with stains on the pillow and sheets . I will never book Wyndham again

The river walk was very nice and just about the right distance from Huston St. for me. The Breakfast buffet was empty every time I tried to eat, bad timing on my part I guess. The AC is a little to aggressive, it’s either on full blast or off. I kept getting really cold for short periods of time.

I was really excited that it was down on the Riverwalk and you had a pretty good view of the city even though it’s not a huge hotel. The disappointing part was the Buffet breakfast, all the food was out and there’s wasn’t a clean table to sit at. We bought the buffet for the four of us without knowing just ordering a breakfast was an option. Eventually, 10-15 mins later some eggs came out and a couple chunks of cooked ham. The breads were out and all 4 coffees were empty. It wasn’t a staffing issues, there was three people in the kitchen. It was pretty sad, we didn’t eat there again. Check in was rough , we came in early morning and. I had called ahead and the message wasn’t relayed that I’d be arriving in the early morning. Jonathan helped me clean it up and after I reconfirmed that I had bought the balcony room he fixed all that for us! Thank you jonathan! The valet was ok, had to wait 20 mins for the car once, they were in need of some help. The text to get the car ready is a nice feature but $22 a day seemed steep for parking your vehicle. Thankful I was charged for three days at the checkout. The room was nice and had great AC, it was a hot week! The only thing I’m still uncertain of is if the bathroom actually has a fan or vent in it? I asked a couple people and they couldn’t answer if maybe ours didn’t work or if it was just a vent from the ac. Either way unless you opened the door it was a sauna in the bathroom. The pool was Fun and the kids had a good time in there

The service at the check in area and at the valet was horrible. There is no type of welcoming much less helping you in the least. NONE. It's like you aren't even there. Then when I went to check out the gentlemen picks up the phone and cuts me off in the middle of my question. He could have at least said excuse me and then put the caller on hold. Instead it was as if I wasn't just speaking to him and he proceeded to help the caller instead of what a professional experienced person would've done - to place them on hold. From my arrival to my departure....no welcoming at anytime, no professionalism, no courtesy.....no nothing. I will not stay here again.

Not exactly boardwalk, kind of miss leading! Overall though I enjoyed my stay, and would stay again if the rates were a little lower. Velvet people were so very polite and nice! I appreciate them very mush and our sweet room attendant in the morning!
