As I checked in late at night I found my bedding with stains on the pillow and sheets . I will never book Wyndham again

The river walk was very nice and just about the right distance from Huston St. for me. The Breakfast buffet was empty every time I tried to eat, bad timing on my part I guess. The AC is a little to aggressive, it’s either on full blast or off. I kept getting really cold for short periods of time.

I was really excited that it was down on the Riverwalk and you had a pretty good view of the city even though it’s not a huge hotel. The disappointing part was the Buffet breakfast, all the food was out and there’s wasn’t a clean table to sit at. We bought the buffet for the four of us without knowing just ordering a breakfast was an option. Eventually, 10-15 mins later some eggs came out and a couple chunks of cooked ham. The breads were out and all 4 coffees were empty. It wasn’t a staffing issues, there was three people in the kitchen. It was pretty sad, we didn’t eat there again. Check in was rough , we came in early morning and. I had called ahead and the message wasn’t relayed that I’d be arriving in the early morning. Jonathan helped me clean it up and after I reconfirmed that I had bought the balcony room he fixed all that for us! Thank you jonathan! The valet was ok, had to wait 20 mins for the car once, they were in need of some help. The text to get the car ready is a nice feature but $22 a day seemed steep for parking your vehicle. Thankful I was charged for three days at the checkout. The room was nice and had great AC, it was a hot week! The only thing I’m still uncertain of is if the bathroom actually has a fan or vent in it? I asked a couple people and they couldn’t answer if maybe ours didn’t work or if it was just a vent from the ac. Either way unless you opened the door it was a sauna in the bathroom. The pool was Fun and the kids had a good time in there

The service at the check in area and at the valet was horrible. There is no type of welcoming much less helping you in the least. NONE. It's like you aren't even there. Then when I went to check out the gentlemen picks up the phone and cuts me off in the middle of my question. He could have at least said excuse me and then put the caller on hold. Instead it was as if I wasn't just speaking to him and he proceeded to help the caller instead of what a professional experienced person would've done - to place them on hold. From my arrival to my departure....no welcoming at anytime, no professionalism, no courtesy.....no nothing. I will not stay here again.

Not exactly boardwalk, kind of miss leading! Overall though I enjoyed my stay, and would stay again if the rates were a little lower. Velvet people were so very polite and nice! I appreciate them very mush and our sweet room attendant in the morning!

First and foremost, you will be charged $22 to park daily plus taxes. The hotel clearly built where there was not enough land to add much parking. This is not mentioned on the website! The front desk staff is very use to the shock customers experience and is armed with snide replies and “take it or leave it comments.” Being told this is how it is in a big city, doesn’t fly with someone from Houston! This hotel supplies nothing but the bare minimums and if u need anything at all, it will be on your bill. They could take lessons from the Hampton chains. Where there are better mattresses, bedding, and welcoming.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel lobby was decorated very nicely. Room service was prompt and accommodating. The room was nice and the bathroom appeared to have just recently been upgraded. My only concern was that I found dried food stuck to the bedside table and the phone was dirty. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It was very nice but the lobby smelled like egg I guess from the breakfast and it never went away.

Make sure to ask for an ice bucket when you check in. They do not have them in the room and it took two phone calls to the front desk and about Three hours to get one!! I have never stayed in a hotel that didn’t provide an ice bucket in the room!

Bed needs a more comfortable mattress with choice of feather pillows. Pillows were very tiny, like sofa pillows, Was not comfortable Other than that, the staff was great and hotel was fine. Oh, two machines were broken in the fitness room. Please get fixed. They were both treadmills. It would be nice to have TV's on each machine so we can watch TV to the right of all the machines without straining our neck.

From check-in to check-out, the experience was smooth and professional. All staff was friendly and attentive. The check-in person was fast and explained everything about our stay. This hotel is also a pet friendly hotel which was why I booked here. I loved how the hotel was on the River walk but without the hustle of what you expect. This hotel is perfect for a quiet and relaxing time. Their outdoor patio was lovely which included a heated pool/Jacuzzi. The hotel also had a hotel/bar that seemed to be popular. I will be staying here again the next time I visit the city.

Good hotel staff is crap.

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The hotel itself is nice but in a sort of sketchy neighborhood. We opted the valet our car instead of self park - $22 vs $18. The bathroom was nice in our room. It looked like it was recently remodeled. The room was nice too, we were on the second floor with a river view. They had a small pool but it was raining all weekend so we didn't use it. The staff was friendly. Lots of construction around the hotel so we had to detour to get to it. But it was a good price.

Great hotel, room was huge & amazing. Staff friendly & helpful. Only issue my hubby had was that it's on the quieter end of the RiverWalk but that's more on me because i didn't check where it was located other than River Walk. I enjoyed the location, the amenities, & the friendly, courteous staff. Great price very reasonable.

Great staff who is super friendly and attentive to your needs. You will pay a decent amount to park regardless of whether you use valet or not, primarily because you are downtown. The location is perfect, however it is still a ways from the main attractions of the River Walk. The breakfast buffet is an absolute waste of money, it was flavorless and overly salty to make up for the lack of flavor. If you're thinking that you might save money eating at the buffet, do you self a favor and either eat at their in-house restaurant or somewhere near by - your taste buds and you blood pressure will thank you. Other than the buffet, it is great place to stay!

Not much to do around the hotel. Will need to drive (do not recommend since parking is limited) or Uber (used this twice and had no problems...$7-8 per ride) to get near restaraunts and entertainment. Get daily valet service ($22/nt). A vehicle parked in the "self-park" area ($18) was broken into during our stay. My wife said the area seemed a little "sketchy" on our arrival. Breakfast at the hotel cafe was good. Bourbon Street restaraunt also was pretty tasty. Outdoor pool area was clean and kids had a blast. Pool is in the shade most of the afternoon. Look into booking a room with balcony and pool/river view if you stay here. Friendly and helpful staff. They took care of a billing issue with no problem. Overall...nice hotel, just wish it was in a different area.
