Hotel Valencia Riverwalk

Booked this hotel because I wanted to stay on the Riverwalk, it seemed like a pretty hotel and there was an option of a Riverwalk view. The hotel was pretty but the Riverwalk view I paid extra for wasn’t great, could honestly barely see it. Also the entrance to the Riverwalk from the hotel was through the restaurant which wasn’t completely convenient, and its location on the Riverwalk is pretty much on the dead side, you have to walk farther down for the more occupied Riverwalk. I guess in that sense if you are looking for a place to stay in walking distance and like it quiet this would be a good option however I was looking for a hotel closer to the mall and the more lively side of the Riverwalk. There was a “free breakfast” which included cereal, fruit, and yogurt, that’s about it. On the upside the hotel was beautiful and the staff was very friendly.

When I booked there was no mention of renovations ongoing which affected access, check in and noise for lower floors. I think the hotel should let folks know that planned renovations are going to be underway during the period people book, and rates discounted as appropriate. My rental car was valet parked during my stay, and the valet staff was friendly, timely, and remembered and welcomed people as they came for their cars! Impressive! Despite that, the hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, the rooms clean, spacious and conveniently located on the RiverWalk. I would stay here again without hesitation.

I love it, friendly staff. My mom need it a wheel chair and they give me the facility for all my stay there

Loud construction waking visitors early. Hoped to relax, but woke exhausted....... staff was friendly and helpful. I was placed next to the elevator which I should have asked to move. ☘️☘️☘️

My daughter and I came for s quick trip for 3 days during her college break and had a great time .The hotel was in the end stages of its renovations and most of it was completed. It had a updated look with a touch of contemporary/southwestern mix and sleek design. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable .Our view was of the courtyard. The breakfast was quite good and included in our price .The staff was very accommodating and attentive. There was construction going on but did not hear any noise on our seventh level accomodation. recomendations for dinner was helpful.Overall a great place to stay close enough to main attractions but in a quieter section of river walk .

We had a lovely experience. Staff took very good care of us. They were all very courteous and quick to assist. We will definitely be returning!

Our room smelled of mildew. Room was small and had no table, a small desk/shelf and one chair. Free internet includes one device. Free breakfast is very light and drinks are self served from wine bottles with latching tops, not very convenient but trendy... i like functional not trendy. Half of the lobby was closed for construction during our stay. Not by any means impressive but decent and at the end of the busy section of the river walk.

excellent staff, overall great hotel, the bar menu can improve the check in was late but they made up by giving us free dinner, a bottle of wine and chocolates. Definitely would stay again

Disappointed that remodeling was going on in the lobby. Loved that it was right on the Riverwalk.

The hotel was under construction and there was no concierge available. We wound up going next door to the Holiday Inn to get help with sightseeing. The hotel did give us breakfast vouchers to make up for the inconvenience. Once the construction is finished it should be a nice hotel to spend your vacation at.

The hotel was under construction when we checked in - the front desk/check in area was crammed into a small corner and there wasn't much standing room or a place to sit while you waited your turn. That was the only downfall, but really wasn't much of an inconvenience. Our room was wonderful (river walk view that we didn't have to pay extra for, yay!) a complimentary bottle of wine because the property was an Orbitz VIP hotel (double yay!) and the bed was sooooo comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning! Bathroom was a nice size and very clean. We also ordered room service for dinner which was really yummy. Overall, great expierence & I will return!

The hotel is under construction. I was very disappointed. It's not worth the money.

The night manager that greeted me was exceptional. She was very apoplectic for the the construction. I was okay with it, even the smell of sulfar when I got to my room. It was late and she was very sweet, even offering to pay for my food if I did not like it. It was late, I did not arrive till past midnight so I did not complain that it tasted like sewer. However, over the course of two day at 200 plus a night, it got worse. No one cleaned my room, had to ask for towels, and when I complained about the smell, room service came up and dropped towels and sprayed my 100 perfume all over the room. No one on Orbitz or the hotel ever mentioned this hotel was under construction. Lesson learned. Hire the night manager and don't boom with Orbitz

Construction was the only issue. Beds and pillows were phenomenal! Lovely soap products too!

Very relaxing hotel, helpful staff, location was on the riverwalk but also walking distance to the the Alamo and other attractions and bars.

Our room was dirty from the bathtub to dust on the bed and shelves. There were old tissues behind our bed, found them looking for a plug. The iron's fill opening was broken so tried to iron carefully, but my shirt got wet anyway. Asked the valet to retrieve a jacket and meds from vehicle and took over two hours and it wasn't check-in time. I had to go and wait for 30min in order for them to bring the vehicle around and get my items. We've stayed there before and it wasn't this bad. It's a beautiful and modern hotel but I doubt I will return. They did comp the valet, replaced the iron and had a mini fridge brought up

They overbooked our stay. Needless to say, we walked into a room which was pre-occupied. Not fun. They "upgraded" us for the inconvenience which led to an uncomfortable room with courtyard access. Drunk patrons tried to enter our room from the outside. Not fun again. We were relocated AGAIN only to be disturbed by wonky hotel services crew. People would come a-knockin' for random things like "checking the mini bar". Seriously...they knocked on our door to open the fridge and leave. The way they do things here is bizarre and unnecessary. Our room was also lacking in the cleanliness department. Showers had dirt and grime caked into the tile. Trashcans were disgusting-- gunky residue and rusted over. Missing toiletries like towels, hairdryers etc. The list goes on. I had high hopes for this hotel since it was one of the MOST expensive hotels on the Riverwalk. I was aptly disappointed and will not be staying there again.

Very beautiful hotel. VERY comfortable bed, great tourist location, great staff, great service.

Hotel is gorgeous, but everything is so dark. Rooms are clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Tip to make your stay even better: bring a power strip if you need to charge phones/watches/tablets, etc. by the bed. There aren't any extra outlets within reach (although there are some empty outlets on other walls). We used valet parking ($34/night) and I have no idea where you'd have to park otherwise. Street gets very busy in the afternoons. Mexican restaurant downstairs is tasty and they have a bar area that you can visit without going in to the restaurant. There's also a bar and restaurant in the hotel itself, but we didn't visit that one. The hotel doesn't have a pool, but does have a small courtyard with a fire wall thing. Probably more inviting in the fall/winter than it is in August. It has an easy to use safe in the room and what appears to be a mini bar. It required a key and we weren't really interested in it so we didn't ask.

Stayed a couple nights with friends and family. The hotel is within walking distance to food and attractions. The staff all around was awesome and The room was really comfortable on a very quite hallway(which we loved). The only complaint and reason I did not give all 5's for hotel facilities was because in the gym none of the ellipticals tv's or even the main tv had any volume that worked (I personally like to listen to ESPN or something while working out) other than that the hotel was awsome.
