My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Vacation Club for a week in a two bedroom unit. The layout was great, allowing lots of privacy. The kitchen was beautiful with new appliances, and everything was spic and span. The front desk was very helpful. Gym was very nice. The location was in the heart of Scottsdale, very close to shopping and restaurants. Will definitely return here again.
This was our first time staying here (using the 3 free nights per year we're entitled to by our timeshare plan). We've had timeshare for many years, but recently swapped one of our units in Orlando for this one. We had a nice condo, although it had 2 bedrooms which we didn't need and was for handicapped, which we also didn't need. The place was well maintained and well landscaped. It had two nice pool areas complete with hot tubs. It's unfortunate it has nothing less than 2 bedroom units, since it's usually only the 2 of us traveling. If we're not using free nights and using our points instead we stay in studios or 1 bedroom units in order to use fewer points. The unit they originally assigned us to was on the 3rd floor - and no elevator. Since my husband is having some problems with his legs of late, this would not have worked for us, which is why they re-assigned us to the ground floor handicapped room. Be aware if you're staying there that there are no elevators, which could be a problem for many older people. What displeased us the most was the restaurant. We had planned to stay close one night (having dinner at the resort restaurant) because it was the last night of the World Series. As we were going out the door to go to dinner, we found a notice on the doorknob outside that the restaurant was closed so they could train their chefs to prepare new entrees on their fall menu. We have 2 issues with this: 1) Why did they wait until the last minute to notify guests of this? An hour earlier this notice was not there. 2) Why do they need to shut down the restaurant at dinner time? They had a whole day to do this training. So instead of the usual robust menu in the dining room, they provided a very limited menu in the snack bar - burgers and similar. We both ordered burgers - my husband ordered well done and I ordered medium, but they both came out well done. Couldn't finish mine. So overall there are goods and bads to this hotel from our standpoint. Not everyone will be affected the same way, but these are things to be aware of if you plan on staying there.
This resort is not the top of the elite resorts in the Scottsdale area, but it was definitely close! The units are well decorated, spacious and clean. The staff is very friendly and efficient with a quick check in. They let you know a timeshare tour is available without any pressure. The grounds are spotless. Great location with plenty to do or just to relax. Very happy with this resort!
This place blew us away. I looked for a place that a family of 4 could spread out and relax over the course of our 6 day stay in Scottsdale. The villa was top notch; clean and was full of amenities. Felt like a get a way home. I was VERY surprised that they left the toiletries that you needed including dishwashing detergent & laundry soap, I was happy to not have to purchase those items. The daily activities were a real plus for the adults & the kids when we wanted to take a break from the pool and the pools were great; it was very nice to have lifeguards on duty at the family pool. This was right off Scottsdale Ave which has access to EVERYTHING. Shopping, dining, sightseeing & golf were just minutes away.
We visited for a 7 day stay to celebrate a birthday with family members who reside in the Phoenix area. The premises are quite substantial but very well set out with s number of swimming pools. The Club has all you can want and is well situated in Scottsdale. The rooms are very neat and well kept. They are also very clean. If you have a problem it is quickly remedied. Our checkin was excellently handled by Allie and Jodi. They are both a credit to the organization. All in all it was a first class week enjoyed by everyone.
What a place! Totally furnished condo unit. Totally equipped kitchen, clean towels for the entire stay found upon arrival and even a washer and dryer in the condo!! Four pools equally spaced between the 13 buildings. On-site restaurant and marketplace.
I was ready to rate this hotel really high, until I had to deal with Todd the manager. I was in town for a wedding and we got a 2-bedroom suite for the groomsmen. The bride-to-be made the reservations well in advanced for this trip. One of the selling points for us for this hotel was that we were verbally OK'd for a late checkout of 2pm. We get to the hotel and they tell us at first that we can have a late checkout of noon, but that they would see what they could do. Then we go down the next morning, and we were told 11am. Being on a time schedule, the day of the wedding, that was not cool. So I had the pleasure to chat with Todd the manager. Besides being one of the rudest, most condescending managers I've ever had to deal with, he basically called the bride-to-be a liar and he blamed us for his scheduling woes. Told us that he had no sympathy for us. The only reason I didn't rate this hotel terrible was because the room was nice and the breakfast was decent. Never again.
Great condos, nice decor, comfortable beds, well stocked, 4 nice pools, parking is close to units, great location. Pool towels, laundry soap. Would definitely recommend this place for couples or families traveling with kids.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The checked in is 4PM. It is clean and tidy. We were on the 3rd floor with 1bedroom, a kitchenette and living room. Dishwasher, washer and dryer. There is a large pool and jacuzzi outside. There is a market and restaurant as well on the premises, didn't used it. There is a TV in the bedroom and living room.
Make sure your plans are airtight before booking. They do not tell you this when you book, but they will charge you over $200 if you cancel because your plans change-with over 24 hours notice. Maybe they need the money more than we do, but this is a terrible business practice. We will not make this mistake again. When we DO go to Scottsdale, we will give what's left of our money to a more reputable establishment.
