When I got to my room, I found a huge (2") cockroach dead in the shower. Either the room had not been rented in a while, or the cleaning staff did a horrible job. Either the cleaning staff did a terrible job or it had not been cleaned for a long time. Either way, that is completely unacceptable. When I told the staff, one guy came in with a rag and cleaned the immediate area where the roach was found. I had no confidence any of the rest of the room was clean. If it wasn't for the fact that I had prepaid and would not get a refund, I would have left. I will think twice before using Orbitz to rent a discount room again and I will never use that hotel.

We had to have key cards reset a few times because the dates were incorrect. Our air conditioner broke. The pool area was nice-best part of the hotel. Ok for the price.

Booked a night ended up staying for 3 days. We were able to relax in our room and poolside. Would definitely recommend this hotel,

Good choice for the cost. Good area and friendly staff. I had a problem in my room and they fixed it fast.

Beautiful pool, the rooms were so nice and clean, all service personnel were extremely polite and went out of their way to assist us. Great experience and we travel a lot. This will be our hotel of choice from now on.

Nice clean hotel with very friendly staff. The location is nice, right across the street from a large park. Nice pool as well

A little noisy at times due to facing the street and outdoor entrance to the room. Shower handle was falling off.

Ok, cheap motel with a decent pool, but not quite what the pictures represent. They need to clean the rooms during your stay, get more towels and make sure everything in the room is working. Mostly friendly staff and lots of kids and tattoos at the pool.

This is our third year at 3 Palms. We like it's central location as we are here for Spring Training. We also enjoy the proximity to the park as you can take a leisurely walk or a long run. The staff is very accommodating. The pillows appear to be feather and are very soft and comfortable. You are able to control the air conditioning through the thermostat which reduces the noise. The rooms are rather small but meet our needs as we are out all day. Washer/dryer is provided as well as a large swimming pool and outdoor area. When our friends are going to Scottsdale, we recommend 3 Palms.

Great location. Great staff. Everything was perfect. Will definitely stay here again

My room was on the east side and right by the pool. Nice, considering temperatures were in the nineties. I would imagine that the west side rooms might have kept the A/C running constantly in late afternoon. I liked the bed; very comfy. Bath area also very nice. Also liked having a refrigerator and microwave especially since there is a large grocery store very nearby (Fry's). It is among other stores and restaurants. You could practically walk to it although I drove. There is also an on-site restaurant and bar, 7's Bistro. Had dinner there one night and found it to be really good with what I had and prices, I thought, were fairly reasonable. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a good value. One other nice thing is that it is not too far from the exceptional (in March/Spring, anyway) Desert Botanic Garden. Unfortunately, I thought it was rather expensive to get in ($25) with an equally expensive restaurant (Gertrudes) on the grounds. Food was good, though, with an ample bar and plenty of craft beers. While not a luxury five star property or big brand name, I don't think you'll be disappointed staying at this hotel. Especially if you're not overly picky or are looking for a reasonable hotel stay at a reasonable price with good amenities.

Enjoyed the room. Was upgraded to better room. Haven't slept this good in awhile.

Booked this hotel because it was close to Scottsdale Stadium (not walking distance) for Spring Training baseball & not over $300 a night as many of the other hotels were. The rooms were clean & comfy. The pool was awesome (heated). I don't require much out of a hotel room other than it to be clean, have a comfy bed & a good shower. This had all. They have a bar/restaurant on property but we ended up going to a bar & grill a block away that you could definitely walk to. The only downside-walls are a little thin, but not that big of a deal. If I go back to Scottsdale again, I'd book this hotel.

We went here for a few days while spring training was going on. The hotel itself is quite cool - new modern interiors, nice decorating, and a groovy style you'd expect from some movie set in the 70s. Checking in and out was easy, parking was free and generous, the free wi-fi was nice and worked well, and the room's decor was awesome. Everything was clean, the beds are comfortable, and the amenities like a microwave and fridge are nice. The pool area is awesome, especially for kids. Lots of different depths, heated so even if the weather isn't awesome it's still swimmable, and a hot tub that seats 30. The bad is that it's pretty noisy, especially if you're on the street side. The rooms are exposed to the outside which is nice for getting warmth and air, but bad for the traffic and occasional jerks driving by with music blaring. It also makes it far too easy to hear people hammering on doors at 2AM trying to get in drunkenly. The other issue is that the rooms are really small, and that makes it tough to have kids in there. It's probably not the best fit for kids, even though other sites advertise it as such - while the pool is awesome the clientelle tends to be more 25-35 year olds, and it makes it tough to get a good night's sleep.

Wife and I selected the hotel based on location to shopping and spring training venue's closeness, we weren't disappointed. While the hotel is not 5 star, the rooms were spacious for the 2 of us and were very clean. Staff was courteous. Pool and hot tub were wonderful and heated,. Best if you ask for poolside rooms to gain that environment over parking lot. 2nd floor (we had 248) was awesome view and king size bed. Over all, great place to consider and if we're back in Scottsdale AZ, we would book again.

Nice hotel, rooms a bit cramped and can be cumbersome to get to depending on which side your room is on. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms with comfortable linens.

My room was very clean and nicely updated. I was attending the Scottsdale show at Westworld, so a bit of a drive, but worth it. Will definitely book next time in Scottsdale.

Smallest bathroom ever. Over priced for our one night stay to catch a plane. Sorry..

Upon walking into the main lobby the young girl who was checking me in put her cell phone down (face up) on the desk to greet me. Ever so often her phone would chirp and she would attend to it for a second before returning to my check-in process. When I looked at her phone it was displaying some sort of game that she was clearly very involved in. This distraction of her attending her phone continued throughout my ENTIRE check-in process. When wrapping up, she gave me my room keys, circled my room number on the map, gave me directions to my room and I was on my way. The property is relatively large (if you are walking) and my room was on the far end, not an issue, except when I got to the room my keys did not work. I returned to the main lobby and the young lady was again on her phone. I informed her my keys didn't work and when she confirmed my room number she said, "no you went to the wrong room, your room number is ---- " I explained and showed to her that she had told me, gave me directions to, and circled the wrong number on the map. Again she was still attending her cell phone and it became immediately clear to me she was totally distracted when checking me in originally. Upon re-scanning my keys she did something wrong which required me to stand there waiting another 5-7 minutes. In short, check-in took forever because the total lack of professionalism.

The pool was the best feature. Nothing much around this hotel.
