Walked out as soon as we walked into our room! Terribly dirty and smelled of mold

I would never go back to this hotel! The staff was nice but no one looked like they wanted to be their. Our room dresser was broke so we couldn't open one of the draws. The vending machines were empty and didn't work. AND We saw a cockroach near one of the elevators!

Some issues with phone system, and getting clean towels. The hotel room had clean enough beds and carpet. Nothing special but cheaper than the other locations around.

This is a basic hotel that gets the job done. Never have had a bad experience here (3 stays total). It's great for the price. Room is clean. Bathroom is decent and the decor is fun (movie posters everywhere in their hallways). For a weekend getaway, it's perfect for my family. We are Annual Pass holders with Universal and frequent this hotel for its closeness to the park.

This is my second time staying here and it has gone done greatly. The carpet was stained, the phone worked off and on, we asked for face towels and never got them but they would come to the room every morning for the towels, there was a pee pad on the bed and to top it all there was a gas smell every morning. Yes I told them about the gas smell and other issue there reply about the gas smell was that normal. I won't send my enemy to this hotel.

The building is in need of repair, our first room was inaccessible (room keys didn't work & the staff was unable to correct it. The second room (301)had small beds, a terrible view, had a portable (& loud) dehumidifier, and on the coldest night, we found the heater didn't work. Maintenance couldn't fix the problem & we declined another move as the room was cleaner than any other area of the hotel. You get what you pay for, so this was my own fault for trying to save a buck.

The overall atmosphere was dull. Change the bedsheets to a brighter color

There were many roaches in my room. The first night i killed like 14 and i can't sleep, and then i changed to other room and there where 3 more. The three nights i had to sleep with the light on. I never experienced horribles moments like that.

Everything in this hotel is Outdated feels like a prison. A few bugs here and there. Housekeeper does not clean just makes the bed and refills towels pool is a little dirty and no where to sit on. Washer and driers always broken. The only good thing is close to some attractions. Please choose better hotels and not just go for cheaper prices.

The bed framed are nothing more then plywood with 2x4 legs and the most uncomfortable mattresses ever msde. I'm 53 years old and opted to take the blankets off the bed and sleep on the floor. It was much more comfortable. Pillows are also awful. One perfectly flat and the other to thick to sleep on. The staff and the pool were nice.

Hotel close to Universal Studios Orlando. Hotel is clean and very safe. Breakfast-Buffet for $5 should include coffee. $100 deposit is too much $ in holding for 3 days.

This was a terrible hotel! It's hard to find a way to start telling the problems with this place. The housekeeping was bad. The only thing that was done to our room daily was that they made the bed. Nothing was cleaned including the floor. Twice we had to ask for clean towels and they weren't brought until after 10 pm. The tv had green lines running through it, the pool had weeds all around the enclosure, the benches had cracks in them. And the staff at the front desk was not at all friendly. Then they have the nerve to ask for a $100.00 deposit??? What a joke! I wouldn't refer this hotel to anybody!

The hotel was a decent price, in a perfect location. Upon getting there we were told we could not check in early, and to come back in 3 hours at 4pm, which was fine. We came back and were met by a line, 12 people long. The clerk checking everyone in was either handicapped, or deliberately taking as long as possible to check people in. I've never seen anyone move so slow. It took over an hour of waiting in line to check into the hotel. When we got to the room, the door wouldn't open. Luckily there was a cleaning staff member near by, and told us the trick. Apparently, you have to giggle the handle, while putting the card in, and kicking the lower right corner of the door to get it to open... who knew? Other than being in need of repair, and competent check-in staff, the stay was rather ok. The bed and pillows were rather uncomfortable, but everything was clean, and cleaned great during the trip. The location was within walking distance of everything we wanted. I would be hard pressed to find a better spot for a hotel. Whether or not I would return would depend on what other hotels and prices were right near here. Right now, I'm inclined to say yes, but would not be excited to do so.

I had the worst pillows and everytime I would ask for new ones they weren't the same. The hotel does not look movie like at all its all a facade

The location was ok, the cleanliness of hotel was not average but it was a quiet good value for money hotel

The Hotel was very clean and comfy. The location was perfect. Walking distance to Universal Studios. I am definitely going back.

My wife and I loved the walkability to Universal Studios and other attractions and restaurants in the area. If you are looking for an affordable alternative to the resorts and plan to spend most of your time enjoying all that Orlando has to offer check out Monumental Movieland Hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms were fine. The pool was a bit cold, but we were there early in the season.

We were there for the Universal Studios Park, which was a 15-20 minute walk away. It's also right across the street from Wet n' Wild, so the location is phenomenal. There's no free breakfast, but there is cheap breakfast at a connecting restaurant. Good quality for price ratio!

This hotel is next to everything. Quiet, comfortable. Book early, it fills up fast!
