Disney's Contemporary Resort

Convenient hotel ... but dated decor and bathtub had soap scum in corners.

Contemporary hotel is just the tops and so is the cost...HOWEVER you can still get the same experience in their North or South wings garden rooms. Be sure to ask for a room on the ground floor as the second and third floors do not have balconys. We stayed in the south wing over looking Bay lake. Just a great view and relaxing steps away from the pool and main lobby.

Had a most great trip. Spent morning to after lunch in parks returned to resort to escape midday sun rested in room until early eve then walked to Magic Kingdom for dinner and firework's then ice cream on main st. Shopping as I exited the park, 7 day worked hopper so worth it. I loved this vacation so much. I highly recommend Disney's Contemporary Resort.

Great location. Pool & viewing areas excellent. Nice size room. Great staff. Very clean. The monorail makes the Disney experience very comfortable as the days get hot and long and can travel very fast for a quick break back to your room. I really feel that the food and beverage prices are out of control. If they made the prices more in line with the average restaurant it may prevent people from going outside the resorts to eat. The average meal for a adult can easily run $25-$70 for nothing special.

Easy to check in on-line and we were able to get into our room early to enjoy a full day at the Magic Kingdom. Monorail is very convenient but realize it only goes one way so good home from the park but leave extra time or walk on the way too the MK. Friendly staff, and cafe food was convenient, reasonable and good. Can take to your room for a break from the crowd. Overall great conveniences at Disney prices. (The maximum they could charge and still have you feel like you get decent value) Oh and the pool and water slide were a nice afternoon break for the kids. The hot tub for the adults with sore feet!

We had a room on the first floor of the Garden Wing. It was very nice to be able to walk out the patio door to the pool. The room was large and had tweo queen beds, a good sized sofa and large bathroom. It was spacious for our family of four. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes out of their way to assist with everything. My daughter lost a tooth and visited by Tinkerbell (Tooth Fairies Disney assistant) with special gifts. It was amazing. We visited during Halloween and had lots of activities for the kids. The walk to Magic Kingdom is one of the best parts and was the main purpose for me booking this hotel. The 10 minute walk between the Contemporary and MK beats fighting crowds and taking the monorail to a tram to a car after the fireworks.

Can't beat the location and the view. We treated ourselves to a room here during a trip for our daughter's wedding at the Wedding Pavilion. We love the view from a tower room overlooking Bay Lake. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant.

It was great! learning the way around the monorail was a bit confusing - several other families were getting confused as well. Once you figure it out though its worth it!

I just love Disney hoteles they make you feel the magic Sinces you arrived, we had the new magic band that make everything easier i had with my family the best vacaviones ever

Room and view were perfect. No complaints. Would love to stay here again.

This hotel even though it has been updated and has nice rooms lacks ammenities of a 5 star resort. It is within walking distance to Disney World which is a plus. The tram shuts down before all the parks close so you have to take a shuttle. It advertises 24 hour room service but only has cold items which is 3 sandwiches and 2 salads. 2 of which they were out of. Maids came in when my gf was sleeping even though a do not disturb sign was out and visible. It just lacked the resort atmosphere that you wouls expect from the cost.

Located right on the monorail for easy access to everything. Lovely rooms, great service, and incredible location. Book dinner reservations in advance (way in advance) for their fabulous rooftop restaurant, California Grill. Great place to catch the fireworks!

First trip to Disney with our 3 young kids. Loved being on the Monorail, loved the location. We had a standard garden wing room, and there was a lot of walking involved to get to our room from the main building.

We stayed in the garden wing...I actually prefer it because no elevator required and gorgeous views.

I was so disappointed with our stay. I have stayed in pretty much all the Disney resorts from the Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club, The Boardwalk, Disney's Grand Californian in Disneyland, Disneyland's Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Art of Animation, Disneyworld's Wilderness Lodge etc. So clearly I know what I am talking about. When we checked in the computer systems were not working so we had to check out and check in at the same time in the morning. Due to this issue, we were unable to use our magic bands at the parks that day to purchase anything. The room could have been cleaner. There was mold on the showerhead which I was shocked to find at a Disney Resort. Also, we didn't sleep very well because the bed/pillows were uncomfortable and we couldn't get the room to a good temperature. I will never stay at this hotel ever again. We asked to have a late checkout by one hour due to a business conference call we had to take and they left a voicemail telling us they would not allow us the late checkout. They couldn't even call the room to tell us No. I was clearly disappointed. Usually, Disney would make the problem better with wonderful customer service by offering us a free cocktail or something. This was not the case. It was pretty much, Sorry there is nothing we can do. This is not how things were done in the past. Disney prides themselves on Customer Satisfaction, or so I thought.

The Contemporary is a fantastic resort. You can't get closer to the Magic Kingdom than a tower room at the Contemporary. The rooms were large, clean, and had every amenity one could wish for. The walk to the Magic Kingdom was only 8 minutes from the tower rooms (a little longer from garden wing) and it made the days we spent at the Magic Kingdom that much more fun, as we were able to walk back to the Contemporary on two separate occasions to take a break by the pool or on our fabulous balcony over-looking Bay Lake. The food court (Contempo Cafe) was open until midnight serving hot meals (very useful after a long day in the parks). The pool was not themed, but the staff had many activities for kids and adults too throughout the day. The marina was an easy walk from any room and would make for a great break from the parks by renting a water mouse or taking the boat to Fort Wilderness for a Chip and Dale campfire. This resort is at the top of my Disney Resort list and I highly recommend it to anyone! Would definitely stay here again.

This resort has a second to none location to the Magic Kingdom especially for families who like to rest between the hustle and bustle of the parks! Ability to take monorail or walk to Magic Kingdom is incredible and the views are terrific! The pool and activities are good! The room and amenities were great. We only dined at Sand Bar at Pool and Contempo Cafe. The food is average and selection is limited, and service slow at times but we were in no rush. Only reason we mark this resort at a 4 versus a 5! Third stay at resort-if proximity to the Kingdom is not important the price tag may not be worth it.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Disney Contemporary Resort Hotel. It was decorated in a modern style, extremely clean, wonderful room with balcony view of Magic Kingdom. We loved seeing the fireworks over the theme park each night . My husband only wished the lighting in the bathroom was better. He said he was standing in the shadows as he would shave. The room was bright, but the light was not at the right angle at the mirror in the bathroom. The staff was very accomodating and very willing to answer questions of how to get around, and wanted to make our stay terrific. The monorail was handy to take to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It only took a few minutes to get there for our fun. The food in the restaurants at the hotel was suburb. The chefs would come out to talk to me about my food allergies. They made sure I would only get foods that agreed with me. I would definitely recommend the Contemporary to others and would stay there again myself.

Took my daughter and granddaughter for a weekend trip to magic kingdom. This hotel was excellent, close, accomadating. Great trip

I whas looking for an hotel near Magik Kingdom and it was realy great!, Clean, nice amenities, free trasportation to the parks and airport, nice place to be!
