They were very nice and concerned. They treated me and my kids very well.
The hotel had a good impression on the outside, but when you get to the room, it is smelly and poorly maintained. Practically the bad smell remains impregnated in all your clothes. Very disappointed.
One of the few places in Orlando you can say is truly "walkable". Universal studios is a mile away and all crosswalks are at lights or utilize a skybridge. The attached TGIFriday's is as easy a restaurant to use as possible. One note - the complementary breakfast buffet is a bit of a free for all. Get their early or risk not eating. The staff, however, are excellent. Hotel is in need of a face lift. Only one of the three guest elevators was working. Pro tip - go around back to the staff elevators if you need to move quickly. Staff worked diligently to support guest comfort but there was a lot that was broken, tired, and worn out. TVs, for example, offered approximately 10 cable channels but were blanked on your major broadcast channels. One note - scam actors like fake taxi drivers were abundant and seemed at ease hanging out and chatting up some of the staff. I had one bad actor named Akram who aggressively pushed a hard luck tale of a nephew in Cairo in need of surgery. He was grateful for anything you could spare and got increasingly aggressive until I ultimately had to threaten to call the police to get him to back off. Exercise caution or risk losing your credit card. All in all, I'd recommend. The location was relatively cheap but reliable and you can't beat the ability to just walk over to Universal!
Blood stain on the mattress. Lunatic in the parking lot threatening to kill me. For the amount I paid I could’ve gone to quite a few other properties.
The ice machines were broken on multiple floors, my room did not have a coffee machine, the AC could never really get the room cold, and it overall felt worn.
The property was within walking distance of Universal Studios.
It’s okay. Parking costs were high and unexpected.
Catalytic converter got stolen off our rental in the parking lot. Hotel reimbursed us $20 for one day of parking because of the inconvenience.
They charged 20 parking/ night....ridiculous
We stayed in Room 530 from the Oct 29th through Nov 3rd. This was, by far, the worst hotel experience I've ever had!!! I tried many times to get a human on the phone while we were there. Tried calling directly and tried all of the buttons on our room phone and everything just always rings. Eveytime I went down to the front desk, there were 4-6 people waiting in line. At check in, we were informed we would not be getting any hotel-type services and if we needed anything we would have to come back down to the front desk to wait in line and ask for it. If I wanted to do all of that, I would've just booked an air BNB. You book a hotel for the service that should come along with it. The one time I did go ahead and stand in line for 15 minutes on our 3rd day, it was because we had no clean towels, no toilet paper, the one little trash can was overflowing, our refrigerator had so much ice building up in the freezer ledge that the door wouldn't shut any more and all of our food went bad, AND we'd been without hot water since the afternoon before. I had to carry the arms full of towels, toilet paper, and coffee stuff up to our room myself and when they came to switch out the refrigerator, the smell of mildew (I assume from the carpet under the fridge being wet for who knows how long) was so overwhelming it would gag us everytime we went back into the room. Then to top it off, construction was being done in the room above us and they started drilling every morning at a little aft
THE PLACE WAS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND WAS VERY DIRTY AND UNSAFE...
This is not what I expected for a holiday inn. The hallway smelled terrible. The rooms were in bad condition, the sheets were dirty. When you called down to the hotel desk no one ever answered. The TV didnt work, none of the ice makers worked on any floor. I had called 3 times before my trip to request conjoined room when i got to the hotel they told me they were fully booked and there were no notes in the account… the front desk was not apologetic for the matter and did not care. You do have to pay $26 for parking a night. There were no face plates on the light fixtures. The whole hotel smelled horrible and dirty.. very disappointed in the stay… will NEVER stay here again.
My kids enjoyed pool! But the furniture was dirty!
