This hotel is pretty great. I LOVE how they have a little store in the lobby with a ton of snacks, drinks, starbucks, smoothies, and food. The pool area is nice and even has a snack shack type place with drinks too. It is very kid friendly which is great. I think the rooms need a serious upgrade and the toiletries are sub-par. We upgraded to a room with a balcony that honestly wasn't worth it because the balcony is so incredibly tiny! When we went it was SO busy but valet didn't take that long at all. I would stay here again for sure!
Transition from Hyatt facility to Hotel Irvine lost what was a great restaurant. The chef competition at Hyatt facilities was evident with their creative menu and presentation. The restaurant and casual dining area are replaced by a "grocery store/quick pickup" area. Found that not appealing in a what used to be a 4+ star hotel. Baths need updating, bath door was not secured (now a sliding door) at the bottom, mold in the sink rim and cheapest possible showerhead. I like the Hyatt much better! Rated this on convenience and visual aspects not preference.
Fabulous hotel. From mid century decor to lively vibe at night - something for all ages. Clean room nice staff great good market and happy hour at pool with free tapas -not be missed. Bikes, gym, waking trails & shopping. Definitely will return!!!
The hotel was awesome. Friendly staff, great rooms and the food was delicious. The only thing i would have to say is that I wish the AC blew harder but other than that great weekend stay we had.
Booked with a special that gave us free breakfast buffet for two, $30 credit for other food or spa, and free self parking. Great value! Registration agent accommodated a last minute change from one bed to two at no addl cost. Front desk also has an assortment of candies! Abba zabba! The hotel has lots of weddings, so had been very raucous in the evenings. Room is nice, kind of plain, and this time, seemed like the toilet and sink had been missed by the cleaning crew. Otherwise clean. I don't really like their amenities.... Weak shampoo and powdered creamer. But they include two bottled waters with the room. That's a nice touch. Gym is nice and 24 hours! Equipped with handiwipes, Headphones, water and cool damp towels. My treadmill touch screen did not work well. Bring your own entertainment. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable to me! Others in my party didn't like it as much as I did. Creamy but not quite real (?) seeming scrambled Eggs, good bacon, toast, pastries, etc. Nice selection of teas! Coffee seemed old and murky. Pool area is nice with cabanas. Jacuzzi kind of small but nice. Don't like that you have to walk through public areas to get to and from pool area. Other features I have not had the chance to use, but would like to - complementary bike rentals and exercise path!
It is a great hotel. Shopping within a 5-10 minute drive. Rooms are clean & nice. Staff is nice. They have many events here and parking can be a bit frustrating. Woke up at 4 am with water pipes rattling. I am not sure that is there fault, because it hadn't happened any other visits that I had.
We just needed a little weekend away & they didn't disappoint. Club 12 is a must if you stay here, well worth the $35 for 2 guest. Mackenzie the hostess at Club 12 is the best!!!! We went to relax and that's just what we got! All the staff were great and very friendly. Everyone is very willing to help or get whatever you need. I will defiantly be going back.
My hotel stay was while attending a business conference. The entire stay, from the room quality and value, to the hotel staff, to the excellent services at the business conference portion were exceptional. The hotel provided every service and facility required, and there was no need to go outside the facility for anything. Good restaurant dining and excellent in-house market for quick hot meals or snacks and drinks.o
It was okay. Rooms were not to bad but the a/c did not work it was hot. Every night downstairs was crazy loud and crowded. You couldn't hear each other talk even at restraunt
Rooms wasn't very clean. air conditioner didn't work sliding glass door barely open, it wouldn't close. The staff was kind and polite.
The hotel is good if all u want is a half decent place to say, the rooms are getting old and u can feel it but other than that the price and location are good!
We always enjoy our stay at hotel irvine. The marketplace is so convenient and affordable.
Hotel Irvine has a free airport shuttle from SNA, runs frequently. The hotel lobby has "Marketplace" with just an unbelievable number of food items to pick up for a snack or whole meal, and excellent helpful staff there. Many nice gathering places in the lobby to sit and visit with friends or relatives. Room was beautiful and clean. Very quiet at night. Also took out the hotel free bikes, not the greatest bikes, but did have a nice short and fun ride on them. thanks to all who keep this hotel so clean and beautiful. Price was totally reasonable!
Decent hotel, good for business trips, wish I would have stayed closer to the beach
Overall a pleasant experience. I would recommend it..
Great hotel, convenient to airport. Clean, modern, staff very helpful.
Great staff, clean room, no clothes storage except closet
The room was nice and big. The beds are a bit lumpy. We paid extra for a balcony room and the balcony was big enough to stand on and overlooked the roof. The free breakfast was apparently stopped in July. The pool was nice but there was no one in it because there were chunks floating around the bottom that looked like parts of a diaper. The hot tub is small enough that 4 would be a crowd which is surprising for a hotel that size. The restaurant was a little pricy but the food was great. The drinks were small but strong.
smoke alarm went off just before midnight. When everyone went to the lobby no one gathered us to tell us about the smoker who set off the alarm. We just stood there waiting for information...until we walked up to the front desk and were told what happened. No organization! We just told other guests what that one person said. No one from the hotel seemed to care to inform the guests anything! Sigh
Beautiful lobby, great location right by the highway. We loved the junior suite!
