This Marriott was exceptional! The hotel was full of evacuees from Hurricane Irma and many people were upset, concerned, etc. The staff went out of their way constantly, whether to reassure patrons or to provide services. Exceptional Melissa even reminded everyone that "if we have power tomorrow, we will have sausage and biscuits in addition to our regular brunch." And yes, we only lost power for a few minutes so we had sausage and biscuits! Just that small detail made a big difference to the patrons in the dining room. With no restaurants open in the area we were all pleased with brunch/breakfast each morning and also "happy hour" snacks in the afternoon. The rooms were the typical Marriott decor and nicely appointed. They were serviced each day beautifully. Staff spent day and night at the hotel in order to provide service to patrons. Before and after the storm many families were out at the basketball court....Marriott providing the basketballs. We felt very safe at the hotel. We are so happy we stayed there and plan to return again for a mini-vacation.
Escaping hurricane Irma from stuart fl. Always try for Marriott properties. First 2 notes none available but checked (just for luck) if any availability at residence inn, mentioned we were silver members and we were offered room (with up grade) for the next 3 notes. We were ecstatic😋. We survived the horrible storm with only a 10 minute loss of power even as 84K people lost power. Nothing but praise for the staff holding down the fort throughout a verytenuous situation. Tomorrow we head home to stuart Florida safe and sound. Thank you marriott.❤️
This hotel is in a good location and I felt safe and secure there; it was my home for a week due to Hurricane Irma. The thing that made this hotel such a wonderful hotel was the front office staff. Angela and Aika were extremely friendly and helpful with a very high level of hospitality. Angela even helped me with an iphone issue and Aika knocked up on my door to check in on me and to make sure I was ok with the storm approaching. I would highly recommend this hotel!
I spent a night here earlier this week and there is nothing particular bad about this property but nothing particularly great either. As a Platinum member they upgraded me to a two bedroom but I was traveling alone so not that big of a deal. The bed was OK, again pretty average for a Residence Inn. They do have a very good HVAC though as I was able to get the room very cool, which I love. The service is above average as I asked them to turn the AC down prior to my arrival since it was so hot and humid. They accommodated that request and the suite was very cool when I arrived. I traveled to Ocala during my youth many many years ago and was sad to see that the town has really gone downhill of late. If you are driving through and want to be close to I-75 give this property a shot. It is very representative of an average Residence Inn.
My family and I stayed at this location for a week. During this time we experienced fantastic and friendly service from every employee we encountered. I would highly recommend this location and would stay here again in the future.
Once again, mobile check-in seemed pointless. I used a mobile chat to request a ground floor room at 11:41am on 8/3. Sent the same request on 8/4 at 8:33am. Finally got a “yes” at 6:45pm on 8/4. Go ahead and call – it’s quicker. We had room 103 which was very nice, wifi worked effortlessly, but when I turned the TV on, there was “no signal”. I fiddled with the HDMI connection, but no help so called the front desk. Manager told me he would be “right down” after checking someone in. A half hour later I called again and was told he would be “right there”. A few minutes later he showed up, tried some stuff, and eventually found the HDMI cable was not plugged into the “white box” on the wall. All was well till I tried to change the channel. Manager told me to change the channel, I needed to get up, walk across the room, point the remote at the “white box” which is behind the cabinet, and change the channel. I told him that was unacceptable, and counter to the function of a “remote”. I requested a different room. I was told it would do no good as all the TV’s on property worked exactly the same. I asked him to take me to another room and show me, but he claimed he had to get back to the front desk, and offered me the general managers phone number to call if I was skeptical. I received no answer at the number given so I went to the desk and the manager sent a trainee (I guess) with me to room 124. We tried the TV and sure enough, the channels changed, as if by magic, from across the room. I went back to the desk and confronted the manager with this news and he said all the TV’s he had encountered worked only by approaching the white box. Anyway, I asked him once again to give me another room, and he gave me 124. The trainee offered help with moving, but I declined as I really didn’t have a lot of stuff to move. So I get to 124 and try to call my wife and let her know of the room change. There is absolutely no cell service in the room (at least for AT&T). I’ve had AT&T for years and have been a lot of places without incident, so this is very unusual, but this is a well populated and developed neighborhood close to the interstate. Phone worked fine outside. I know this isn’t RI responsibility so I only mention this as a warning. The next morning I spoke to the manager, and she confirmed that some TV remotes do not work without approaching the white boxes, so I was somewhat mollified. Lessons: check your remote first thing and watch your cell service before settling on a room.
I didn't check in as I was at work, my boyfriend did. When I got there I was so surprised. The room was so spacious and it had a small kitchenette with a small stove top, microwave, fridge with freezer, sink, glass ware and dishes, complimentary popcorn to eat while you watch a movie. The sofa was a pull out bed and had the linens in the closet. The bathroom was very spacious and water pressure was fantastic. The sink is outside. The whole room feels like an apartment set up and I would've loved to stay longer. It was $119 before tax for a huge room breakfast included. The pool was open until 10pm and we had a great time swimming. The spa(hot tub) was outside, but the temperature was perfect. They had pool towels available right inside next to the door. It felt super secure. Only way to get in without a key was through the front door in front of the front desk. Couldn't get into the pool area without a key either. There was some small scuffle outside and the staff handled it perfectly. I would recommend this hotel and this brand without a doubt. The beds felt like clouds and were perfect for us both. He likes softer beds and I like mine a little more firm, but this was perfect for us both. Couldn't hear any traffic noise or disturbances.
We reserved two suites side by side for a weekend stay. Like always, Marriott never disappoints me. The hotel grounds are beautifully kept. Even though it is pet friendly, the rooms and it's surroundings are super clean and odor free. The rooms are nicely and neatly decorated. I was disappointed though, that we did not get any maid service in our two nights stay, which meant that our beds were not made in those 2 days. I would like to think that it has nothing to do with the fact that our reservation was done with points.
Arrived after a long day of road trip. Nicely locate from I-75. Rooms are very clean and staffs are very helpful. The full kitchen is a plus and the room size is A plus. They also have during the week, activities in the hotel loft and the ambience is modern and relax. The hotel looks new. One thing i discover in this hotel, that i was able to do laundry by myself, so i came back home with laundry done. :) They have free-breakfasft but the organization was not as good as other Residence Inn. I will stay again in this hotel.
We stayed here overnight on our way hike from Key West - we did an Express Deal on Priceline and clerk told us we got the last room. Room was nice and large with a full kitchen, table and living room - perfect inn for families! Clerk was very nice and you get a full breakfast the next morning!
