Located in Northern Florida, the city of Ocala is often referred to as the “horse capital of the world,” due to the large number of horses, which graze safely behind beautiful wooden fences and green pastures they call home. The city plays host to international equine competitions and houses a 500-acre horse park, where the U.S. Equestrian Team train. Popular attractions in the area include Silver Springs State Park and the Ocala Historic District. The latter is particularly loved for its beautiful Victorian architecture.
For those with an interest in art and culture, a great place to look into accommodation are hotels near the Appleton Museum of Art. Here, you will find beautiful art both inside and out. Anyone with a keen interest in cars or racing should make their way to Don Garlits Museum of Racing, one of the top attractions in Ocala and a must-visit for drag-racing enthusiasts. There are lots of hotels near the Don Garlits Museum, which will allow enthusiasts to spend more time checking out the 300 cars on display as swell snippets of drag-racing history.

Active visitors who are interested in the great outdoors and doing some hiking while in Ocala can stay at one of the hotels near the Ocala National Forest. The forest is packed with adventure, be it hiking trails, springs to bathe in, or crystal water rivers to paddle down.
