Property was dirty, room smelled bad like mold. Booked a room with a view of the pool but got a room overlooking the back parking lot. Pool and hot tub water was filthy.
It's very old the building needs re modeling. The materials are a huge fire risk.
Both orbitz and website said breakfast included it was not. There should have been replacements for the breakfast that couldn't be served for example danish, donuts, muffins, fruit etc. The elevator was dirty. It is a nice place just needs updates will stay again hopefully things are different then.
The hotel could not provide me a key that worked for my room. They had to use the master key to let me in and then told me to “use the buddy system” so that someone was always in the room to let me in. The bath tub looked like it either had blood or rust stains. The room was really dirty and the air vent had so much build up in it that it looked like it had never been cleaned. I don’t how this hotel had an 8.2 rating. I was too grossed out to lay down on the bed so we went down stairs and had them cancel our reservation so we could go to another hotel.
I have stayed at this La Quinta many times over the years and found it to be delightful. This time, I was alarmed by guests leaving trash at the side of their vehicles as they left. Also when loading my car I found myself standing in a puddle of stale urine obviously emptied there by the driver next to me. I know that these are difficult times, but please make an attempt to discourage such anti social behaviour on your premises.
Sound between rooms is bad. I can hear my neighbor flush their toilet. Disturbing to sleep
I liked that the rooms were quite and in good condition. Fairly new beds and carpet. The breakfast was disappointing no scrambled eggs on anything hot but waffles. The pet area had ground cover that was like 5” tall the pets could not pottie there. I would not stay at your hotel if it were not pet friendly. Pet people will clean up and keep their rooms cleaner if there is a grass area to exercise the dogs.
Arrived at the hotel, the lady in the reception asked for my card and I understand this is necessary to make the reservation effective. I mentioned that I'd like to pay right away with cash, even if they needed to register my card. She said they'd have to keep the amount on hold until my check out date and that then I'd be charged in cash as I requested. Then she gave me the keys and didn't even tell me the breakfast hours. Okay, no problem, whatever. I was sent to a room where there was a nail picking out, we stepped on it (the carpet was apparently pulled out), this was outside the bathroom door so it was a very transited area in the room. We ended up covering it with a towel to avoid stepping on it again. The day I checked out I went to the front desk to pay, and it's the when I'm told my card has been charged already. Had to request a refund and pay with cash. Of course, the refund will be issued in 3 days so that amount is still on hold. How delightful.
I have four photos I took to illustrate the lack of cleanliness over my 6 day stay. I took the photos on Day 1 and on the last day, these areas had still not been addressed, which suggests this as much a management situation as an employee one. Had to "chase down" desk personnel as they seem to only one on duty at a time with no back-up. They failed at both requests for wake-up calls.
Toilets sit were very low that to stand up from them it was difficult for me. There was no way to hold up myself. (I have knee problems.)
the facility was very clean and i especially enjoyed the hot jacuzzi. nice quiet location. and staff was very accommodating.
