People all very friendly and went of their way. Anthony their security guard - exceptional! Did not like the fact had to (battle) for a chair on the beach with locals. I paid $1,400 to stay their and the locals do not and had to struggle to find chair on the beach all weekend!!!!

Overall look and feel of the resort was pleasing. We enjoyed the Tiki Bar with live music!

Easy to find, checking in and out was simple. The beach was nice we even saw dolphins swimming in the area

The bed was super hard. I spelt 4 hours. No one in our party enjoyed the hard beds. The beach let us down. The drinks were super expensive and were burnt. Cats on the property when I have a dandruff allergy To pets. There were 3 bugs we found in the room. I did like the security guard Anthony. Liked the pool but small.. loved the patio set up.

It was remodeled a few years ago, but wear and tear was already showing in the room. Despite that, the room was clean and right on the water. The tiki bar was fantastic, good food and drinks. Gilberts was easy to get to and good for an overnight stay on our way to Key West.

We loved our stay at Gilbert's. Clean rooms great view and awesome tiki bar with good food. Also very good fishing around Chris saxe

We were there for 2 nights. We received 4 drink tickets when we checked in. We were not informed that they were only good the first night. We went to the lobby the second night and the lady at the counter abruptly told us they were expired. She had the attitude of a rabid honey badger.

Was nice, but there was a noise in the room the whole time.

Has everything you need: pool, restraunt and tiki bar, small beach, boat rentals. Excellent location and staff.

Very cute and clean rooms with great views. Restaurant/bar has live bands. Private beach and marina. Nice new pool.

No need to leave this place, everything is there. Clean Friendly Convenient

Great place to unwind - nice location .. lots of activities ... staff is also very helpful. Loved the tikki shack .. We shall be back

Perfect for us for overnight on our way to key west. Great tiki bar food was great room was nice and cold

We loved our stay here! Excellent location, good breakfast, clean rooms & friendly staff. Also the best Tiki we've been to. This resort can't be beat for the price & we will definitely stay here again

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, great views and onsite restaurant, tiki bar and entertainment.

The room was very clean, had new furniture and bathroom fixtures, and a quiet air conditioner. Breakfast is no frills - as one would expect for this price. The hotel has a well-attended bar outside, where live concerts are held. However, everything was very orderly, and there were actually quite a few families with small children at those concerts. The music is loud if you stay outside, but once you get into your room, you cannot hear practically anything from the outside.

We had a very nice first floor room overlooking the water. It will be nice when the hurricane damage is fully repaired and the caution tape gone though. We were disappointed that we didn't have an outdoor deck to use because it hadn't been repaired yet. However, the restaurant or beach area was an alternative for that. We rented a jet ski and were joined by playful Dolphins. Later we rented kayaks and paddled around the area too.

Still recovering from 2017 hurricane season at the time we were there, and it was in the coldest weather in the last 20 years. So our large room for a family of 6 was exchanged to two regular rooms. Rooms are cute and super clean. We were able to walk out the back to a docking area. A pod of dolphins was swimming through, so that was cool to see them go by. If I make it to the keys again I would definitely see if they have space available.

We arrived at 1:30am after a late flight. I wasnt sure what to expect but the hotel was easy to find and the gentleman that check us in was waiting and friendly. The room was small but very clean and comfortable. For the price point I was very pleased. Overall no complaints.
