We booked this hotel for our last night of a 7 night trip with stays beforehand in Orlando and Daytona Beach. It was the most expensive hotel we booked by $90-100/night (we reserved a one bedroom unit in each location). While this hotel definitely had a 1950s-esque charm, we left disappointed. We were put on the second floor, and the “partial ocean view” from the balcony was a stretch (another building blocks most of the ocean). The pack and play we were provided had a broken support underneath which, while it still worked, worried me that it could potentially collapse if our kiddo got too rambunctious. We were provided a $20 “VIP credit” upon arrival and looked forward to using that towards dinner on site - around 4:30 we walked up to the bar/restaurant window and asked until what time they were open. The person working told us until 6:45, so we decided to walk along the beach before it got dark and to come back to eat later. We showed back up around 6 only to be told the kitchen was closed, so we had to go out and find food elsewhere. Super frustrating and since we were only staying one night, we ended up going to the gift shop area and just throwing some things in that we didn’t really need just to use the $20 voucher. The pool was great and well-heated, and the breakfast was solid - but neither of those things made it worth $220 for one night. Unless your heart is set on Cocoa Beach, I would stay elsewhere for $120-$130 for a much nicer room and amenities.

We arrived a day before taking a cruise. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean pool area was amazing I was traveling with three kids. I will return back.

We stayed here one night before a cruise. The check in staff were great! The property has a lazy river, restaurant and is a close walk to the beach. The complimentary breakfast buffet was good. The room was spacious however we did find a few cockroaches in our room. The bathrooms could use an update.

Front desk staff are nice and accommodating. However, the one maintenance staffer who apparently lived at the hotel before working there lacked diversity training.

The list is way too long for what is wrong with this place. First, they say one price and when you check in the pice tripled, our room was "given" to someone else, on top of the price increase. YeVonn, made sure to say all rooms are the same price.... We had to beg for a room on the partial Oceanview side that we booked. Our room was wet constantly and smelled like old stale cigarette smoke, and mold. Neither of of a/c's in our room worked well. The free breakfast was meh, be prepared for the everyday blah sausage. There were a few staff members that were good, there was one really creepy guy, that gave me the creeps. Lastly, the elevator was slow, the floor was soggy feeling and hot. The goodish thing was the pool, but the water was pretty warm. Oh make sure to ask for a mattress topper for the pull out sofa beds!!!

Everyone of the employees was so nice!

Our family decided last minute to take a midweek trip to Cocoa Beach and were very happy to have found Beachside Hotel. It is a super cute retro-inspired hotel that is perfect for families. Our children loved the "beach" area where an abundance of beach toys were provided to play in the sand. The lazy river was also a huge hit. We were excited to learn that we could also rent free surf boards and beach carts (among other things) to take to the beach, which was just a short walk away. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the free breakfast was filling with lots of variety, and all of the staff was very nice. We really enjoyed our stay at the Beachside!

Huge disappointment here. It Appears that they renovated the reception, pool and eating area which is in the front right when you walk in. So you think, wow this is nice but the rooms are terrible. Smells bad, the floors seems to have been just swiped not mopped. Your feet will get super dirty in no time you walk in the room. At night we had disgusting roaches in the bathroom and kitchen area. Absolutely awful. Never again.

Enjoyed our stay, lots of room in our suite and enjoyed our balcony with a view of the ocean.

Nice homey feel… clean, close to beach and shopping. Loved the lazey river pool.

Loved the pool

Location was perfect. The staff was excellent, common areas were great. The rooms still need a little more updating. But were clean and comfortable.

Great location. Good breakfast options and pool. Close proximity to beach.

Great location. Loved the free beach rentals. Good breakfast options. Rooms could use abit mire storage. Overall a great stay

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staff!! Breakfast buffet was great! Pool was clean and activities were great for kids and adults.

The lazy river kept at 80 degrees was very nice. Especially since the ocean is freezing this time of year. We enjoyed the drinks there and getting to float around the river. The rooms seemed clean and certainly smelled clean but we did have a cockroach on the floor night one. And a couple throughout the stay. Not infested but as they say where there is one…but we do realize that beachfront it can be a problem. We also took the bicycles and enjoyed riding along the strip. They were free to us. And there were quite a few dining options close by, as well as shopping. We also enjoyed the balcony from our third floor room that we could see the ocean from and the beach access being right across the road, a 3 minute walk at most. For $200/night it wasn’t as nice as I’d hoped but then you aren’t staying so near the ocean for less so it is what it is. I’d probably look for something a little less kid focused for our adult vacation but I can see the benefit of having things for your kids to do. We just didn’t have kids so would of maybe preferred a separate adult only area. Overall the staff made the stay enjoyable from the front desk to the bar to the groundskeepers, they were all excellent

Bathrooms need an update NOW And a cleaning We won’t stay here again. Although the kids loved the heated lazy river pool

Staff was nice, welcoming and quick to serve. Great location.
