Courtyard Marriott Ocala

We arrived at the hotel after visiting my husband's mother dying with lung cancer. We were told our Orbitz reservation for 2 rooms for 2 nights had been cancelled and there were no more rooms. My daughter and I called Orbitz and had 2 Orbitz representatives on the phone, both claiming our reservations had NOT been cancelled. Marriott claimed they had been cancelled and there were NO rooms available. We even handed our iPhones to the desk clerks who explained to Orbitz representatives the rooms had been cancelled. My husband called Marriott Headquarters who said the rooms had been cancelled by a Marriott supervisor at the Ocala Marriott! Now we have been charged a cancellation fee of $185.90 for rooms that were cancelled by the Marriott Supervisor.

I booked through a third party to try and save the company money, but this third party of the hotel would not honor my tax empemption or my Marriott Rewards number. That was the beginning of this trip. The hotel and the rooms are very outdated and not clean. The orange and gold stripes carpets were clearly dirty and needs to be replaced, there was hair in the bathtub (which smelled like mold and bleach) adn the tv reception was inconsistent at best. There were strange men lurking around the back of the hotel in the morning where I had parked the night. before. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

The location is great. Lots of services close to the hotel. The hotel rooms have been upgraded. Nice. Unfortunately the rest of the hotel was currently in the upgrade phase. Otherwise, it's a Courtyard...

The staff was very helpful and the rooms were very clean. Will definitely stay at this hotel again'

We had a very nice stay at your hotel. The staff was very helpfully, the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We enjoyed the pool every night!

Quick checkin, friendly staff. The room was very clean with all expected amenities.Arrived early and room was available as requested. Love the noon checkout since it gives you plenty of time in the morning to go out for a relaxing breakfast and pack. Did not feel rushed in the morning by housekeeping staff. Overall a good experience and would recommend to either vacation or business travelers.

Our room was on the third floor facing back parking lot and it was quiet...the bed was comfortable and we slept great every night! Breakfast buffet (all you can eat)cost $5.99 but it wasn't so great, you're better off walking nextdoor to Cracker Barrell. Fitness room was OK, the equipment (typical hotel equipment) was in good working condition. Swimming pool was clean and uncrowded - nice!

Nice clean room

This is a pretty nice place to stay. It was under going some renovations, but they did not in infringe on our stay. The hotel is far enough away from the highway that you don't notice any noise. Upon arrival we were given a room that wasn't what I had reserved, but the staff addressed the issue and got us what we had paid for. There is a Craker Barrel directly across the street, and there were a couple gas stations within a 100 yards that you could walk to for any necessary snacks. The main downside to this hotel is that they do not offer the usual free breakfast bar. They have a small breakfast buffet, not much to choose from and $8.95 per person. They did have free coffee & tea, but did not have any morning newspapers to read. When we come down to Florida again next year we'll probably stay here again because the plus's outweigh the minus's.

Location very good. Staff nice, and pool was excellent. On the negative, our room carpet needed cleaning badly as did the hallways. Hotel needs a little TLC. Otherwise would not hesitate to recommend it.

The hotel was not very clean and was a little run down. It is definitely time for a redo of all carpets and common areas. Also, the hotel refused to give me Marriott points because I booked on Orbitz. If this is going to be the case in the future, I will have to book directly with the hotel to get the awards.

The Courtyard Ocala was very comfortable after a long day of football in Gainesville. The room layout was fantastic, since we had a sitting area that made the room feel more like home then a hotel room. The property is located right off I75, which made it extremely easy to find. I would definitely recommend the Courtyard Ocala to my family and friends.

Very Nice hotel!!!! We got a great room for a really decent price. We were extremely pleased with this choice for one of our stops on our vacation. We only stayed one night, but if we could have stayed more, we definitely would have chose to stay here.
