We ask the clerk to give us a Non smoking room # 222 but once we got into the room it smell like tale smoke from the air conditioner air blowing out . Too late for us to move anywhere else so we had to stick it out with the room for the night. We could NOT sleep thru the night because of the heavy tale smoke smell so we decided to check out early the second day and gave up on our 2rd day without refund. Beside smell of tale smoke , no ice maker on the premise, everything else are ok.

The hotel is just a short walk to the beach. That said, it is tired. The room was clean, but smelled musty. Really needs some updating.

Needs basic repairs. There was half an alarm clock, holes in comforter and the shower liner was all ripped up. Bathroom looked clean but everything was so worn out it felt run down and neglected. Lady was front feet was nice and cheerful. Breakfast was served in the ‘lobby’. I wasn’t eating anything from here, but they had a sign on the small counter and an old worn down couch there. Location was ok-walking distance to some restaurants and Dunkin’ Donuts. Orbitz sent me a check in review and after that, I received an email asking if I’d like to change rooms. We only spent 2 nights while traveling so it wasn’t worth moving.

The staff was great! The room was the dirtiest I’ve ever stayed in! We went to Walmart and bought sheets and a comforter, and cleaned the room because it was so filthy

Waking up at 4 am to bug next too me after searching found out it's a bedbug pulled mattress back found one dead plus the one that was alive next to my head

This is a nice place to stay if you are on a tight budget and all you need is a clean, barebones room near the beach. Don't expect any amenities such as breakfast, a microwave, coffee maker, or fridge. The location is very convenient as there are plenty of restaurants right across the street. There is beach access, and it is important to note that the beach near the hotel is much quieter than the VA Beach boardwalk.

Restful and relaxing. Short drive to some nice restaurants, Family friendly.

For the price, this hotel was an excellent value. Not fancy or new, but it was clean, safe, and a block from the beach. There is a very nice, well maintained pool and the Travelodge is located on a main road with multiple attractions, shops, and restaurants. The hotel staff was more friendly and accommodating than any hotel where we have stayed before.

I read the negative comments and I was expecting for something bad but it wasn't. The staff was nice and helpful. I was there with my family and pet and the rooms were clean, AC was working very good. It looks safe for families, the pool is okay, they were taking care of it. Parking was fine. There is a clean and calm beach just one block from the hotel, but the side where the Neptune Park is the best and it is like 15 minutes away. You can find parking there too, $5 or $10 per day. The only negative, the included breakfast, it was just coffee, muffins, mini bagels and only one cushion for seat. We drank a cup of coffee and went to Dunkin Donuts.

Close to beach however Air conditioner broken. They never cleaned room entire week. Merely brought in new towels. Pool is nonexistent. Would not stay again.

Upon walking into the room, there was trash on the floor that was readily noticeable. The blanket had cigarette burn marks. The bathtub had sand. Overall, the hotel is in a nice location where everything is in walking proximity (beach, grocery, restaurants)

The second day we were there. We had the money stolen out our wallets while we were at the beach. The staff come in to clean the room and when through our belonging and stole the cash out our wallets. I told the general manager and he said he would take care of it. He did nothing. It ruined the rest of the time we were there. I had to pack our stuff up everyday when we went some were and leave it in the car.

We had a bonus day at the end of our vacation and wanted to get on the beach one more time. All the other Virginia Beach oceanfront hotels were booked and too expensive. The Travelodge was the perfect alternative. The beach is a very short walk and is right on Chesapeake Bay - it was delightful and friendly. The Innkeepers couldn't have been nicer at both check-in and check-out. The property is older but it offers everything you need for an overnight stay. Most surprising was the comfort of the bed! It was great - didn't want to get out of it. Morning breakfast was a bonus. We were very pleased and would stay again if in the area!

Pictures online outline what you will be receiving. The walls in the room were filthy, toilet rocked, over all not clean. Will not be staying at this hotel again.

I knew this hotel was near the ocean but figured it would be a decent walk to get there, but you can literally take a 5minute walk and be on the beach!!!! It's pet friendly and less crowded then the tourist part of Virginia beach by the boardwalk

We apologize if the room smelled like smoke. We do our best to keep our non-smoking rooms smoke free, but unfortunately we do get people who smoke in them! Also, we do have an ice machine located on the first floor of our hotel!
