Great little Hotel, not a lot of amenities but clean, safe and right next to Central Park. I stay here a week a month for business.

Pros: Friendly staff, close to museums and the park. Cons: It's an old building, one of the two elevators was out for most of our stay there. Also, as many others had mentioned, the heating pipes are quite loud. Overall: I was happy to get what I paid for and will be back there in a few months.

The location is very convenient on the upper West Side. It's a no-thrills hotel with limited other amenities. Hard to find something for that price with any "extras" in NYC, though.

The location, cleanliness and the staff were wonderful but I have to be honest the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I slept on in years.

wonderful location, excellent value,comfortable rooms.

The heating system did not work properly and I had to change my room . I waited over a half hour for someone to check on the broken thermostat and finally said change my room when no one was coming. The second room still had a heating issue. One of the faucets in the bathroom came off in my hand. Charged an extra amentity fee which said there w as hot chocolate but when I wanted it in the afternoon I was told none was available. A time was ne ver told at check-in. In fact I asked for a printed copy of what my $21 covered and was pointed to a sign on the counter. I had the. breakfast buffet and the fresh orange juice was sour. Mentioned to the attendant as she argued that it was. I did say something to the front desk who said they could not do anything about it . Breakfast was so so and the room was dark. All in all In was not a good experience. Needing to keep a window wide open in cold December seemed to be the norm at the hotel as both rooms had it upon entering.

Great location, traditional NYC ambiance. Will definitely stay here again.

We liked the charm of the hotel, wish there was a restraunt and frige in the rooms.

Classic look and service!! We were greeted friendly and the people were very nice!

The television didn't always work. They must use a satellite dish so when it rains the TV doesn't work. Except for the TV, the room is very nice with a nice view, Good location and helpful staff.

The best location to be in while visiting Manhattan! Right next to Central Park, but in the quiet part of the upper west side. You are feet from the subway to take you deep into the madness, but this place is serenity! To Mark and the rest of the staff, awesome service...thank you!

The location is very good if you like being close to the park. The lobby and room are nice. The bathroom is quite dated looking though clean. The bathtub didn't drain on our arrival. We asked for a repair and they said they'd send someone up but didn't. They did fix it the 2nd time we requested it. The staff at the front desk was fine, neither friendly, nor unfriendly.

Great location, clean comfortable bed. Spacious room

I would like to have a bar area where I could get a glass of wine at night

It was a good property and we were happy with our stay

Location was excellent. Place was spotless. Service was great. Room was comfortable and well kept. The stay was enjoyable.

Cleanliness and ambience and comfort Would go back again
