Clean and good location. Good size rooms. We had no wi-fi on the 4th floor for the week. Not sure why we weren't told this upon check-in. Nice quick breakfast in the morning. Not sure why they don't open until 8am.Would be nice if they had cheap wood stir sticks for the coffee instead of plastic spoons. Coffee bar configuration is a nightmare as only one person can use it at a time.
We stayed here for a couple of days earlier this month (April 2022) and enjoyed it very much. We can't say enough about the lovely staff, especially the front desk. They were so kind and helpful. On our last day, they called us a car service to JFK and extended checkout a little so that we could freshen up before we left. We stayed here because the rates were lower than elsewhere and, although the hotel condition may not have been as great as that of other hotels that were more expensive, we would not hesitate to stay at the Chelsea Savoy again the next time we come to NYC! Thanks for making our stay wonderful.
It was quiet, the staff were friendly, and i like how they had two beds. Although, my bed was broken and was a little scaried to move. That was the only downside, oh we did see a woman being assaulted across the street. It was handled but was scary to see.
Property clean, location great. Staff very friendly.
Adequate hotel in centralized spot. Subway out the front door and easy walk to midtown, Ktown, village. Bare bones rooms - big for nyc. Minimal service and security (elevators not secured by room keys and pretty creaky). Breakfast of muffins and bagels. Next time we’ll spring for something a bit nicer if we can afford it.
Amazing property for the price. Right in the middle of Chelsea with dining, shopping and a subway stop right outside. It’s definitely old but still well maintained. Service was decent with luggage storage and extra towels on demand. The breakfast is probably worth skipping. Cold bagels with no toaster. For the price, I could not find better, and will definitely return if staying in NYC.
It was no-frills but the location was great - middle of Manhattan right next to the 1 subway line - and the price was very cheap.
Picked for the A little worn (holes in carpet, iron stain on carpet). Continental breakfast
This hotel is in a perfect location! The subway is right across the street, it's super close to the High Line and Chelsea Pier as well as Madison Square Gardens and the Flatiron District. There are so many restaurants with wonderful outdoor seating options as well. As for the room, it was a bit strange to not have a coffee pot! But the free breakfast was a nice addition.
The staff was very nice and helpful. The housekeeper was one of the most thoughtful and kind person I have ever met. Just lovely. The location was perfect and it was easy to get around the city.
absolutely great place to stay. Staff were very friendly and accomodating and the location is just perfect
The location is good and the hotel is clean. I will definitely stay here again.
This is a clean budget hotel in Chelsea. The room was larger than I expected and had more closet and drawer space than more modern hotels I have stayed at. (There are additional drawers in the platform bed base.) The room was clean and all the staff friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Many restaurants at various price points and food markets nearby, including some open 24 hours. Subway 1 block away. An easy walk to Penn Station.
close to subway.free breakfast.steff very helpfull
Every thing was better then I expected. Very friendly staff and good location.
The property was in a good location to be able to access most parts of NY via the subway or walking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff was awesome. Major downfall was the hard as rock beds. Also, there was no way to completely close the curtains and an apartment building sits right next door.
Clean and safe. The location is in the heart of Chelsea, not touristy. A few doors down from Gotham Comedy Club, within walking distance of all Chelsea neighborhood hot spots. Right on top of subway, plus easy to hail a cab at all hours of the day. Convenient. Safe. Clean. Not a high priced luxury hotel, but it delivers on everything you need.
