Comfort Inn Nashville - Downtown

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

I've stayed at Choice Hotels several times. Unfortunately, this is the worst experience I've had with Comfort Inn because of the following reasons. 1. There was no hot water for shower. Imagine taking a cool shower when it was 40 degrees outside? 2. There was no shower door or long shower curtain in the shower. Instead, there was only a very low shower curb which was not well-sealed. As soon as I turned on the shower, the water splashed everywhere and overflowed on the bathroom floor. 3. There was one missing part on the edge of the bathroom granite counter. As a result, the sharp edge was exposed, which might cause some injuries if someone accidentally bumps into the sharp edge. 4. There was some dirty and rusty stuff on the hair dryer. Even though we like the location (near downtown Nashville), the lobby, the staff and the breakfast area, the above mentioned reasons make us feel that we paid for a Comfort Inn but stayed at a Super 8.

Bathroom facillities were uncomfortably close to the floor and bathroom was very small. Entry to the room was from outside. We were two seniors staying in a room and received a call from the front desk that our next door neighbors were complaining about the noise in our room. It was 6:00 pm. We were both laying on the bed with out feet up after a long day of driving, just watching the news. The TV was not even turned up loud. I explained this to the front desk staff and was still told that we were being too loud and to turn the TV down! It was ludicrous! The only thing that was not disappointing was the breakfast, where we enjoyed a delicious omelet.

We've stayed at this facility four times over the years to see shows at the Frist. It is in within walking distance of the Frist and downtown Nashville. It is also convenient to the freeway system, making it easy to reach. They have an excellent breakfast at no additional charge. The rooms are not spacious, but they are excellently clean and comfortable. We will continue to stay here when we visit Nashville.

Very comfortable bed. Friendly and accommodating staff. Super convenient to local bars. Clean clean clean room. Enjoyed my short stay

I took this hotel because at $199 it was a bargain in the price hyped Nashville market. But in most cities it would be a $68 hotel. It is a huge and tired motel. On the upside... and this is not a small thing... the place was clean and the staff was wonderful.

The worst ever. Dirty smelly. Outdated. Broken tiles. Drain in tub was dirty and carrodded

room was old and dark. Very noisy and the wall were thin yoiu could hear everyone else in the place. Would not stay hear again

Unbeknownst to me when I booked, this is known as a "party" hotel. There were drunk people yelling at all hours, and someone even lost his dinner outside our room (very loudly). We checked out a day early because we were exhausted. The location is good but I would never stay here again. Other things - wet carpet, remnant of caution tape on the door and stains on the bedding. Ugh.

This hotel is walking distance to downtown and the hotel staff are very kind. The room was clean, and the pillows were nice. However our room was in a corner, dark, overstuffed with furniture, smelled like smoke, had useless wifi, and no working tv. Sooo, I'd only recommend if you can get a view of maybe the pool. Our room was a disappointment.

I did not stay after arriving and lost one night Charge nearly $300.00

Attended Walker Stalker Convention and needed a hotel within walking distance. For $240/night plus taxes I wish it had been a little nicer. The door to our room, 305, doesn't seal all the way so it never stayed quite cool enough in the room. Light could be seen coming in around the bottom and right of the door due to the lack of seal.

I stayed at the comfort inn in downtown nashville for 4 days, and it was a wonderful experience. It was clean and comfortable and all shared facilities (the pool) were extremely well kept! It was also the best location to stay in because it was right in the middle between midtown, downtown, and the gulch.

Too expensive given the poor mattress quality and small, tight bathroom. Nashville is no NYC, but they seem to charge along the same lines. This was a low-budget hotel experience - very much like something you would find for $80/night elsewhere.

Hotel was clean, beds were good, breakfast was WONDERFUL!! Staff at front desk were courteous and helpful. Only stayed 2 nights but liked it as it was close to downtown Broadway.

Check in was not friendly, not angry either, just very impersonal. The hotel grounds were dirty. Piles of cigarette butts greeted us in our parking space. Stair wells and pathways needed to be swept and washed down. The room was dirty, the bathroom especially. The beds seemed clean enough as did the nightstands, but the corners of the floors were gross. Paint chipped off of the toilet seat and wall moldings. The door pushed in an inch or so before engaging the lock and rattled. It was late, so we slept and then just left without showering etc as it was just too yuck. this is the only hotel on our 28 day trip that we have disapproved of. It was also the most expensive. The area had a college drinking feel to it. I had to get my hand stamped to buy a piece of pizza. Overall, this was a terrible stop. I feel ripped off.

The hotel is within walking distance to most attractions. The service was above my expectations--- especially Kumar & Dena. There were internet problems on the first day, but they were corrected the very next day. I would recommend this hotel to friends .( the breakfast is terrific)

Good value for the money. Close to downtown Nashville & music row. Staff were courteous and helpful. Breakfast provided was better than most motels. We would stay there again.

We had a great weekend in Nashville. Good location, one mile from downtown, easy walk or grab a ride. Easy on / off the Interstate. Room rates were reasonable compared to other downtown hotels. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Decent breakfast. Coffee, fruit and cookies offered all day.

Dirty, loud, cracks in between door and wall I could feel cold and see light, cops came an yelling outside hotel. No parking spaces, uncomfortable beds, smelled bad, no wifi at all. You name it, bad experience. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here!

Had an excellent stay here! The room was great and had axs tv channel! Great morning breakfast and people/staff were very friendly! Walking distance to awesome food and bars even for some siteseeing! Hope to stay again and would definitely recommend!
