This is a nice little hotel with a friendly, hard-working staff. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and everything looks new. The only drawback is the location. There's not much in the immediate area beyond the hotel, and it doesn't seem to have any attractions nearby. Perhaps the company is anticipating growth in the area. Perhaps it would be a good stop for someone coming off of Alligator Alley.
We stayed here one night on our way from the Florida Keys to Tampa. The rate was very reasonable, but more impressive was the value we received for that rate. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and attentive. There is a complete hot breakfast with a large variety of selections and good coffee. We will be back and will highly recommend.
Outstanding service Very clean room and comfortable bed Breakfast was well done and lots of choices, hot oatmeal, and omlettes plus a nice variety of dry cereals. They also had "Very" fresh and delicious fruit especially the Strawberries. They were huge and quite tasty. The Inn overall was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating The TV was large and in perfect working order The grounds were mowed and quite attractive.
We stayed here in Feb. for one week. The first day we noticed this AWFUL odor in the air when we were getting out of the car to check in. Then when we got to our room, the odor was also in the room. After spending one night, we thought maybe it would get better. The odor was gone outside of the hotel but it was still in the hallway (we were on the top floor) and the smell was still in our room. So the lady at the front desk was nice and offered to move our room. This new room was next to the elevator. There was no smell. So we changed rooms and were happy. That night, the smell was back and now in this room. It would come and go on different nights. We later found out that there is a water treatment plant very close to the hotel which the hotel says is not the issue. They say that the smell comes from their sprinkler system that uses reclaimed water. All I can say is I have been around a lot of hotel sprinklers and I have never smelled anything like the rotten egg smell that was around the hotel as well as in the hotel rooms. Also, if you choose to stay here, request to stay away from the elevator. I could hear the LOUD chime of each floor as the elevator came up. There are 2 elevators and even putting a towel at the door to try to stop the sound, it was still extremely loud! If you are a light sleeper - BEWARE. Also while we were there, one elevator broke for a couple days, then the other one broke, and then both broke for a 1 day. So we had to walk up and down from the steps quite a bit. We had a last minute trip in April and tried to find another hotel of which most were already booked. We were only going to stay 2 nights so we felt we would have to stay there again and hope it wasn't the day the smell was there. The reason we decided not to book there is because if you want a refrigerator - There is a $10 per night charge unless you book a suite. My husband and I are both platinum with Marriott so we spend a lot of nights in hotels. NEVER at any hotel, even other hotel chains have we ever been charged for a refrigerator. I needed the refrigerator for medical reasons and even then with a doctor's note, I could not get a refrigerator unless I paid $10 per night. The man at the hotel desk was rude to both my husband and myself when we asked about this. We then decided we would not stay here no matter what. The first week stay in Feb. we were in a suite so the refrigerator was not an issue. We did not even know this $10 per night policy until this second booking. We finally found a different hotel not far away - Hampton Inn in Bonita Springs. For less money than this Marriott we had a nicer room with better bed. We also had a microwave and refrigerator with a freezer and we didn't need to request them - they are in all rooms. Also, there were no smells or elevator issues.
We arrived around 3pm on April 21st for a two night stay to attend a wedding of close friends and were met at the entrance to the parking lot by a Marriott employee who said the hotel was being evacuated because of nearby wild fires and that there were no available rooms anywhere in the Naples area. It would have been nice to have been notified a bit earlier than check-in time so we could have made alternate arrangements and been able to attend the rehersal
Smoke from a nearby fire got sucked into the hotel by its AC. A good HEPA filter/system would have minimized this and provided relief from the smoke, especially those guests who are most sensitive such as children, elderly and those with heart and lung disease. Other than that, staff are friendly and professional and rooms are nice.
This was our second day in Florida and we needed to do laundry after our 19 day cruise from San Diego to Fort Lauderdale. This place had an excellent laundry area. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Good value and we would stay again.
Good value for $140 per night including taxes, (late march 2017), I got a suite with 2 tv sets, king bed and a big bathroom. Quiet place, very well kept, good location. The only negative is the breakfast. Basic with waffles, paper plates and plastic cups. Sure they can do better. Crackle Barrel is very close by, less than 2 minute drive. I will definitely stay again.
Stayed for two nights at room 222 from 3/23 to 3/25. We went out the whole day to visit Everglades National Park and Marco Island. When we came at back at the hotel, our room was not clean. It is not a big deal, except the lady at the check in lied. I went downstairs to ask for towels and asked the lady manning the check in what could be the reason why our room was not clean. She asked if we hang the 'Do not disturb sign.' I said 'No' then she asked if hang the sign 'request room to clean' at the door knob. I was perplexed because I don't ever recall seeing sign like that so I immediately went back to the room to check if there is a sign to request for room cleaning. There is none. Having our room not cleaned is not a big deal because all I want is fresh towel. What annoys me is being lied at. If the cleaning crew botched up so be it, just don't lie to customer. Experience from this hotel left unpleasant experience. I won't stay here again nor recommend this hotel to others.
Our stay at this Fairfield Inn by Marriott was comfortable and a convenient location. It was out of the mainstream congestion of the Naples area. Loved the fact that guest laundry was available. The rooms were clean and the bedding was comfortable. Will definitely keep in mind for future visits.
