Overall my stay was good. However, employees needs to pay more attention to maintain the hotel more clean. I stayed 3 nights and my room was clean only once and thats because i requested to be clean. The housekeeping does not take time to make the room nice and clean, the vacuum was NEVER used in my room neither on the hallways of the hotel or at least on floor 16th where my room was. I could see the same dirt on my floor on the same spot for the 3 days if my stay. Breakfast was okay but one of the employees serving the food was very rude. Not even a "good morning" to customers. Other than that, the pool area, the view to the beach, and location of the hotel was nice and pleasant.

I will not stay at the Strand again. The room was fine but the towels stunk like they were old or something. The parking structure was the worst parking structure I’ve ever been in and worried we would get hit or hit something every time using it. It was lovely being at the beach but there are other places along the strip to stay that have better accommodations. Also the check in process took waaayyyy too long. There should’ve been more than 1 person working and it took like 20 min. Per person to check in.

The ocean view was fabulous and located within walking distance of the boardwalk. There were rarely any pool towels and the pool was always filled with children, no separate adult pool. Maid service leaves much to be desired, we were there for seven nights our room was vacuumed twice, The sheets were never changed. One day they may not and I let her know that we would be out of the room in 10 minutes, she said I can’t come back I have another floor to go to. Most of the staff was very friendly.

The card readers were the only problem we encountered. I had to get my keys remade 3 times. The first time could have been because it was too close to my magnetic closure on my cell phone, but the last 2 times it clearly had to be either the locking mechanism on the door or the keys alone. I also had trouble with the key at the movie kiosk in the lobby. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever about this hotel. Beautiful views, rooms, amenities, hot tub, heated pool, location - all excellent!

The front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient.

room was very clean; needed more help at front desk for evening check in, desk clerk very nice but management should schedule more staff at that time, long line and phone ringing constantly; also, extra resort charge was added to my bill, so much of a charge, don't get checked in till late and have to be out by 11 am, don't have much time to enjoy, this hotel does not like to let you stay 1/2- 1 hr late checkout at all, not a big difference, especially if you don't get checked in till after 5pm..

I will not stay at the Strand again. The room was fine but the towels stunk like they were old or something.
