Beautiful property with friendly staff. Excellent food and service :)

The property was perfect! The staff was helpful and friendly! The amenities were plentiful! Our only suggestion... The corner rooms with oceanview should have balconies as well... 4.9 Stars from us!

Service was great. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice a clean. This is the best place for a relaxing couple vacation. Me and my husband had a great time!!!!!!

In August we stayed at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes and this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Upon checking into the hotel, we were assigned a room on one of the top floors of the property. When we entered several issues jumped out at us immediately: - no bath products in the bathroom; - stained pillow cases - hair and stains on top of the bed spread and blanket - sticky soda stains and cookie crumbs on a chair; - furniture in the room bore rag marks and was dirty. We were assured our room had been turned over by the cleaning crew prior to our arrival, however, we requested another cleaning service and the staff immediately complied, to their credit. Shortly afterwards we proceeded to the main restaurant downstairs for a quick meal. The food, the service, as well as the bar itself, further contributed to our disappointment. The seat cushions in the bar were dirty and exhibited cigarette burns. The food itself was overpriced for what you get - the mac and cheese we ordered looked like it was just heated from frozen, with oil floating on top. Upon returning to the room later that evening we found 2 cockroaches in the room and the staff advised that it is a normal occurrence, which it most definitely is not - even for the Southern states, where I have lived most of my life.

hotel was very nice with friendly staff. the breakfast Buffett at oceans restaurant was excellent. The food at the restaurant bar was terrible and so was the service.

Nice hotel, large pool, good location, but loud due to thin walls. You know exactly what your neighbors are watching on tv. Also, paid a lot for ocean front view but there wasn't a balcony- just a sliding door and railing. This hotel isn't worth the price.

Room was great. Room service was good but highly over priced(wasn't going out to dinner after driving 12 hrs though). Staff was very friendly and always helpful. Only thing I can say I absolutely didn't like was the fact that there was no free WiFi, and if you wanted wifi, it was $18 a day!

Great hotel , very clean . Staff very friendly and helpful . The 2 complaints I have , are 1 , to get a chair by the main pool area , it will cost you more per day, which I think is very ridiculous for all the money to pay for the rooms . And 2 the bar restaurant price are a little high, and the restaurant for the breakfast buffet are ridiculously way to high. 4 people for breakfast @ $ 90 and that not included tip! You get a holiday inn express breakfast for Marriott price! It does make nice to eat at the resort, but at that price I will drive 2 miles. Overall a great place to stay .

Lindsay at front desk and her partner (wish I knew her name as well) were so very sweet and kind to us. Lindsay helped save my trip. Also the gentleman (I think was the manager) that greeted us a the front doors went above and beyond. All staff no matter who was extremely friendly!!!!

The garage parking spaces are defective because the tire stops are too close to the walls. If you are not careful you will bump into the wall. There are dark areas without lighting as you enter the garage area after exiting the hotel and there's potholes in certain areas too. Not enough cameras outside in parking areas and anyone can walk off the beach and enter hotel's pools. Did not see any security officers at hotel or security patrol vehicles. Anyone can walk into the hotel from the parking garage area and no one will question them. Not a very secure and safe hotel. Comfort, cleanliness and staff was fine.

We loved our stay, one day of rain a little disappointed in the indoor pool area it wasn't anything special.

The stay was good and this is the second time I've stayed here and will be back, but barely opened the sliding door to the Ocean view because of the MASSIVE and EXTREMELY loud two story air conditioning unit outside the window. The ocean looked nice, but the top of the banquet halls with scattered with a couple old phone books. The pool area and beach area are stunning though, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

dirty rooms, cockroaches and dated furnishings

In August we stayed at the Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes and this was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
