Cons,The resort was outdated , dirty, no privacy in rooms even when you have a do not disturb sign on the door , staff was not helpful called maintenance 2 times never came up pools were nasty, pros food in cafe was good.

Loved the pool side entertainment. Pool was a little dirty.

If you want to stay in nice, cleaner and newer hotels to fully enjoy and really feel your vacation I would not recommend Long Bay cause you will see that the hotel is already old especially the beds and the couch and the building itself including the pool and other amenities. But if you really just want to be at the Myrtle Beach and not pay an expensive stay at a hotel, you just want to experience how it is to be there and see the place. This hotel would be good for you. No problems with parking and location is close to restaurants. The beach is only a few steps away. So i would give 3 stars out of 5 for this.

Hotel staff was very nice but I was very disappointed that I thought I had gotten a room off of the first floor with a view but ended up on the first floor with no view at all :( then my wife went to get a shower only to look up and see a dirty rag hanging on the curtain rod. We went to the game room and one of the machines took my tokens and would not give it back. It was a very nice place a few years back but things have changed

I booked the 3 bedroom condo and it was very nice. My family was very comfortable and we had plenty space. There is so much to do at the resort and the view was AMAZING. The rooms were very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The decor and entry doors in the rooms can use some updating but it wasn't a big deal to me. I am looking forward to my next stay at Long Bay Resort!

Room wasn’t Ocean view!! And they were full booked and could move us!!

The room was okay but it was on first floor and facing the road. The pools were nice but the kids weren't watched by their parents and they were mean to other children. I had to speak to one of them about splashing water in my grandsons face. It is to far away from all the main activities and the concierge in the lobby is horrible I think of them as blood suckers.

It was very nice staying and the kids got blast in their . I would like to thank Mr. Jesse Avery ( evining manager) who made our staying more comfortable and solved any problems instantly to our satisfaction. I would like to comeback another time visiting Myrtle Beach.

Clean the rooms thoroughly Nice rooms but wasn’t clean before my arrival.

The rooms and amenities were nice!!! There was a front desk guy named Jesse(sorry I didn't get a last name) But he was AWESOME. He was very nice made sure our stay comfortable. Thanx Jesse

The good: The bed was comfortable. The maintenance person was top notch. He deserves a raise! The bad: The room had a bad smell. The furniture was dated,dirty, and stained, even the lampshades. The carpet was filthy and old. We woke up to palmetto bugs in the room. The bath above us leaked into our bath, hence, the contact with the maintenance person, who resolved the issue quickly. The coffee maker had old coffee ground packs still in it.The ocean view, for which we paid extra, was hardly any view at all. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom. My wife, who is allergic to mold, had a reaction. The hotel was booked up, so we couldn't get another room.

It's not that I mind making my own bed, but I do mind not having any towels in the rooms Everyday we had to call the front desk for towel, they would respond with "house keeping will bring them right up. That never happened. We had to go to the front desk every time to pick up. On one day after a day at the beach we called 3 times. Two hours later I had to go to the front desk and refuse to leave their until we had towels, wet and cold, all we wanted to do was take a shower and go out to dinner. We stayed for .4 days, the only towels we had were what was in the room when we checked in. Had I know there was no house keeping I would have booked elsewhere.

The hotel was great. When we checked in the staff greated us and told us if we needed anything to let them know. The room was also great only the view. Our room was right above the putt putt and when we opened the curtains people was right there. Other then that it was an excellent stay. We called down the first night for blankets and they were right there.

If you want to stay in nice, cleaner and newer hotels to fully enjoy and really feel your vacation I would not recommend Long Bay cause you will see that the hotel is already old especially the beds and the couch and the building itself including the pool and other amenities. But if you really just want to be at the Myrtle Beach and not pay an expensive stay at a hotel, you just want to experience how it is to be there and see the place. This hotel would be good for you.
