Checked in late at night, received free room upgrade to King Room, fridge, microwave in all rooms, continental breakfast was good but could be better 5 minutes walk to Broadway at the Beach
Nice hotel quiet in my area. Staff was excellent.Rooms
Hotel is clean. Newer renovations. Free breakfast. Able to walk to wax museum, broadway at the beach. Short drive everywhere else. We enjoyed our stay.
The hotel was nice, clean and comfortable although it is under extensive renovations. One floor is closed altogether, other floors and elevators are closed or under 'work in progress'. We certainly would not have stay if we had known of the project underway.
The bed that I slept in wasn't comfortable, the mattress was VERY used. When you rolled over, it was like rolling into a hole in the middle. other than that, everything else was fine.
Good hotel nice and clean. No so close to the beach though and a little thrown off by the giant cock roachs outside.
Had a great stay at the hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. The only negative was there wasn't a refrigerator nor microwave. Everything else was fine. The location was good, directly across from the Broadway, and only 5 minutes from the beach.
I cannot say anything bad about this hotel. It has good rates and you get what you pay for. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean.
The staff was extremely welcoming and the room was excellently maintained. The hotel is within great walking distance to Broadway at the Beach. Even better, I was able to watch the New Year fireworks display from my room (helping to avoid the large crowds). If one is planning to visit Broadway I certainly suggest staying at this hotel.
My cousins and I stayed here for a last minute bachelorette party weekend. The fact that we found a room two weeks before was a miracle. The location is not right on the beach (About a 5 minute drive, 10 if you include parking- which is way cheaper than northern beaches) but it's just accross the street from boardwalk on the beach where all the bars are, so that was a plus for us. We got there early and were allowed to check in early but we did have to wait for the room which was understandable. We got to the room and saw that we had a handicapable bathroom which was just kind of weird. We also noticed that there was no refrigerator. I called down and was told that there are no refrigerators in any of the rooms. I do not understand that. We're by a beach for crying out loud! We need to take snacks and cool drinks. Luckily we had a cooler and some cooler bags but I did not like that we had to empty out every few hours. Later throughout the weekend, I saw a repair man on the elevator with a refrigerator. I did not say anything but I did not like that I was lied to or truth was omitted. Otherwise, skip the pool. It's way too small. STAY FOR THE BREAKFAST. The lobby does get a bit packed but the waffle maker was a Godsend after drinking at boardwalk on the beach. They do their very best to keep everything stocked for the breakfast, and that I did appreciate. Staff is friendly my only gripe is the fact that there was no fridge in the room. And the decor is a little outdated for my taste. I would stay again if I did not manage to book a hotel on the beach again.
Reasonable price for the season, friendly staff, sufficient parking
nice place. .I be happy is very clean. .comfort. place close. nice
Good Stay. Clean room and enjoyable stay. Close to the Wax Museum
We enjoyed our stay here. They only complaint I would have was cleanliness. Our room was clean, but the public areas needed a good dusting and vacuuming. Otherwise our stay was ok.
We had a great stay. Pleasant staff. A Wonderful selection of snacks. We slept through breakfast but the area for breakfast was spotless.
Our stay started off well. I felt that the amenities were to over the top for what was needed. I wanted a room to stay in. It seemed that the hotel was set up (and priced up) for a more professional business type of customer although the room was just a room. The type of room itself was what I wanted.....right up until the dog down the hall started barking at seven am. It took us contacting the front desk three times over a two hour period before it stopped. I am glad I didnt have that room the next day. I am not allergic, but I dont sleep with dogs...mine or others. I will not be overpay to stay there again.
Fine, side door near our room was not locked all night so security was less than efficient. Had a small problem with big truck being a parking hog. Saw a huge water bug crawling up wall in lobby when I first arrived at hotel - made me a little uncomfortable about leaving my bags open in room. Internet was very easy to get hooked to. Needed a small refrigerator in room, was told they don't offer that to double rooms , I was more than willing to pay a little extra for that convenience. Cheaper and more experience hotels offer that option, why can't La Quinta???????????
If you're looking for a place to stay on a budget that's right next to Broadway, then this is your hotel. It sits across the street from the Palace Theater and is only a quick 5-min stroll to main attractions of Broadway. You're also just a 10-minute drive away from the beach, more shopping, and more fun! There's also the added bonus of having a Mellow Mushroom (yummy pizzeria) sitting right next door. For the accomodations, The hotel lobby and rooms are ordinary, which is to be expected. Breakfast is your standard waffle maker, fruits, yogurt, cereal, bread deal. Do yourself a favor and find a brunch spot instead. My room had a king sized bed and faced the pool. I didn't use the pool as I have something against pools when a beach is nearby. My first night was quiet and restful. On my second night I experienced a clogging tub and a few roaches crawling around the window sill. The staff was less than helpful or caring when I made them aware. They weren't rude mind you, it just seemed like they could care less what happened beyond their shift. Don't expect a room change during peak times either; they keep full. You'll have to weigh the benefits of the location against the need for better than ordinary accomodations. I put up with the hotel because it was just a weekend trip for me. Anything more than 3-nights and I'd probably look elsewhere.
Loved the location, very clean room. room fairly comfortable, excellent for a Saturday and Sunday shopping spree. Close to everything.
good time ,well received and very relaxed , a very nice stay , will do it again
