The hotel was great for the price! The floors had a few black streaks and some dirt spots, but overall it was fine. The staff was super friendly, the pool area was nice, and the location was perfect, just a quick 2-minute walk to the beach. It’s not right in the busy downtown area, so it felt more peaceful and exclusive, which we really liked.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable. When we arrived there was a party going on, right in front where you pull in to check in. Fortunately, the room blocked out some of the noise. My disappointment is in the hotel not informing us at the time we booked that a parade was starting at the hotel, thus blocking us in so we could not leave. I had an 80th birthday party to put together for my mom, and had to fight through the parade line up, to get out.

The hotel is in a terrible area. There are homeless people and other unsavory characters walking around at night. Police frequently drive past. Noisy cars. Noisy people. This is not a safe place to bring a family.

Although the property is older, the owners are obviously working to update the facility. We had a lovely 1b/1b suite that was quite comfortable. The bed was great. It did need some minor maintenance, but it did not hamper our stay. The property is pet-friendly, but they charge $60/night for your animal. So this doubled the cost per night during our stay. If looking to book a stay in Myrtle Beach, be aware that virtually all properties near the beach will charge a "resort fee". This property charges $20.00 per night. We found this to be the lowest in the area. We would happily stay at this property again.

There was no breakfast as advertised. The front desk said they haven't had breakfast in over 2 years. Thats false advertising. The pool was across the street and not the best. It's ok. The put me by the laundry room and immediately that morning asked to change rooms. Too much noise. Read each room in detail so you know exactly what you book, it was misleading.
