I've stayed at the Anderson quite a few times. The rooms are always comfortable and spacious-even the studios. Like many Grand Strand Hotels-it's right on the Beach (although an October cold snap meant that I didn't go outdoors much. There is also a small "Indoor Pool" which is partially open to the elements. It is heated, and accessible through the unloading parking garage. There is a Jacuzzi there, too. I didn't get around to that, either, during this stay. There was a Loud party on Saturday night next door, which let out at around 1 AM. Hey-that Happens. The toilet had a slow leak in the tank. That seems pretty common there. The overhead chandelier above the dining table is a low chandelier, and, unless you're a Midget, is easy to bang your head against. I stopped using the chair under the light. The most annoying problem, However, is that I only had TWO tablespoons (and, no teaspoons) in my kitchen drawer. I mean for the place setting, not the measuring spoons. If the stainless is "walking off" then they should do room inspections at checkout. It's not that expensive to replace, however. The main parking structure (you have the option of valet, or self-park on the upper floors), is across the street, about one block away from the Hotel. Be mindful that the ramps are narrow, and some guests drive like a Bat out of Heck. They have mirrors at the ramps. Remember to look at them. Those mirrors should be a few feet wider, however. Use your headlights when in motion.
Love the property. Would definitely stay here again
Great location and accommodations. Would stay again.
Rooms are misleading. All the furniture is dated and the cleanliness is gross. Lots of bulbs burnt out or just plain missing. The bottom of the microwave handle was broken. No coffee filters and very minimal kitchen dishes. Toothpaste spit running down the bathroom vanity not wiped up. Mold in the shower. TP holder was gross and all baseboards don’t look like they’ve ever been wiped down. Wouldn’t recommend this place!
I think the hotel was ok. I was very disappointed that the room did not appear as it was displayed on this website. When I asked more about it I was informed that some rooms are updated and some are not. I really feel this is a little misleading/false advertisement and I was not happy with the dishonesty.
All good would stay again
Stayed for 6 nights. Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Safe and family friendly. Great area. Just far enough away from the sky wheel area to relax without the commotion. Easy to get around the area via Uber or car.
The hotel was conveniently located, quiet, clean, and safe. The beach was clean and not too busy. Parking was close and just a 2 minute walk. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
Room was dated and not clean as I am used to, could not get an extra towel. Rug needed replaced. Covered sofa with sheet before sitting on it. Cholerine in the pool was unbearable.
The location is great and the beach is wonderful!! The free mini-golf was fun! The facility and the furnishings were out dated and often incomplete. Remote controls didn’t work, TVs/DVD players were missing HDMI cables, lamps didn’t work. If the property took some time to update the furnishings it would be much better. Pack n play drama! We included the request on the reservation. We called and called trying to find out if they would provide a bed for our baby. If not, we would just bring ours. They finally said yes… we didn’t bring ours. We arrived just before bedtime and they said they were out!! Aghhhh! After two hours they finally got one from another property! We’ve stayed in plenty of hotels and often requested pack n plays or cribs. The good hotels have it waiting in the room when you arrive, the decent hotels bring it up when you check in and those that need a service recalibration go to other hotels to get it after they’ve told you they will have it available.
I’m not a hotel fan after buying a RV but it was a spate of the moment trip and raining. I was pleased with our stay. Room was clean (I look high and low in every crack), mattress was soft, staff was friendly and welcoming, loved the beach access, and my kid enjoyed the indoor pool. Not a fan of the parking arrangements but they have valet parking so it works out. I’d stay again!
My stay was very pleasurable. Great facility with various amenities and great customer service.
Great location, and jan 1st fireworks on the beCh. Both indoor and outdoor pools and hot tube
The daytime check in person was AMAZING! She made our stay delightful.
Clean friendly and perfect location. My complaint was we waited for over an hour for our room to be ready to check in and it was well after check in time. There was no sitting area in the lobby so we had to “stand in the way”
