We had to come to Morgantown for a family Emergency. Even with having to bring our dog, this hotel was most accommodating not to mention so close to Ruby Hospital. Would Def Recommend. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Also very close to food and shopping.
We chose Residence Inn because we were traveling with a service dog. The one bedroom suite allows us to close the bedroom door so our dog doesn't awake us with noise from the hallways. We were assigned a very large one bedroom suite close to an exit which was convenient to take her out. Sadly, there was not much of an area to walk the dog. The carpeting should be replaced in this room as it is badly worn and coming up around the fireplace. We were able to prepare a simple dinner in our kitchen and relax following a long day. Breakfast was adequate.
It is like many Residence Inns, but has some disadvantages. On the plus side, its location allowed us to really spend some time in Morgantown. We had passed the town several times, but never stopped there. Guess what, it is a nice university town with some great shopping and restaurants. It is worth the stop. The hotel itself is several miles off the interstate, but is easy to find (with a GPS of course). While the hotel layout is typical, parking may be some distance from your room. The free internet was quite slow at times and did not connect easily. Breakfast was disappointing and would at best rate marginally acceptable. In typical fashion, the staff we met were friendly and helpful but did not bring the hotel to an above average rating. However, we still feel Residence Inns are terrific price performers
Great location next to the football stadium and the large hospital system. Friendly staff, plenty of parking and free breakfast. Rooms are what you would expect from a Residence Inn, larger with kitchens.
The staff at the Residence Inn was fantastic. Wayne was very polite and friendly in the breakfast area and the front desk staff was so friendly. We needed to get some work done and the front lobby was very comfortable with outlets at our table and coffee available all day. It was also very convenient to the college.
Staff went out of their way to make sure we were welcomed. Rooms were very clean and stocked when we arrived. Room layouts are very comfortable having a sofa/social space as well as a space for a bed. Also the most comfortable mattresses we experienced at a hotel. Would definitely recommend this place! Close to the coliseum, directly across the road from mylan puskar football stadium, and 75% of Morgantown is within 5-10 minutes driving time.
Planned as a quick family overnight while traveling for Christmas. We normally prefer to stay at Hilton properties but this hotel met all the requirements (so I thought). It was right in the middle of a 12hr drive. Wanted an indoor pool for the kids, pet friendly, and breakfast. The pool was closed, breakfast was bad, and they surprised me with a non-refundable pet fee for our little dog that sleeps in a crate. I travel a lot for work and this stay reaffirmed why we prefer Hilton.
This was our first time staying at a Residence Inn but it wont be our last. We rented a two room sweet for our family of 6 (two parents and 4 young adults). The hotel staff were all very attentive, professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was ideal for our family. The hotel is extremely close to Mountaineer Field and Ruby Memorial. This will be our first choice hotel when staying in Morgantown.
This is our go to hotel whenever we come to Morgantown. The staff is the greatest. The hotel is within walking distance of WVU Hospital and Milan Puskar stadium, home of WVU Mountaineers.... Let's go Mountaineers !
Very nice hotel close to a big portion of the WVU campus and the football stadium. Pros - nice clean rooms, very large of course and some with kitchens so good for larger parties of people. Within walking distance to football stadium and short drive to downtown Morgantown. Free parking and wifi services and the usual breakfast buffet, also free. Cons: They do jack up rates considerably for the sports games. Also can be, as normal for Residence Inns and others, a bit noisy. Overall I would recommend the hotel for business or pleasure.
