This was the first time we stayed in a Tru hotel. The staff was friendly and the facility was fairly clean. However, we will probably be the last time. The few dollars saved over the next level facility was not worth the cuts in the amenities and room size.

We decided to try Tru because of the Hilton name, it's obviously bottom of the list for them. Upon walking in, it was confusing where the front desk was, a lot of clutter. The room, was small, the pillows were horrible and the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. There was no space big enough to place your luggage. No coffee maker in the room, and breakfast was nothing special. There were no muffins or pastries. We usually stay at Holiday Inn, Tru was priced about the same, we thought we'd try something different, there was no comparison. Very doubtful we will ever choose Tru again.

A great location. Super friendly staff not just at check in. A welcoming lounge area, clean rooms and quiet! Lounge has 24 hr beverage station and huge variety of snacks for sale. Also games and pool table. Very convenient to Tamarack and New River Gorge attractions. Breakfast was well stocked and easily accessed even when the hotel was full. Highly recommend.
