Overnight stay and expected a more updated hotel. We chose Microtel because of stays at other in this chain have been very nice.

The hotel was safe, clean and well priced for a quick overnight stay in Beckley WV. It met my needs and the price was reasonable for the short time I was there. It was nice to have a quick breakfast and hot cup of coffee in the morning. The staff was polite and helpful. I would stay there again under the same circumstances.

Traveling through the area on way back to Michigan. Stayed one night. Very quiet. Great location. I would stay again here. If I am in the area in the future.

I reserved this hotel room with low overall expectations. We were just spending one night, so we didn't expect stellar amenities. That being said, the room was extremely dirty. I had to change my child's clothes 2 times on the morning we left because he was filthy from touching the floors. The bathroom had hair leftover from the previous patron.the complimentary breakfast are didn't look clea either. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great place. Water pressure could have been a little more. The sign at the street, light was out, needed fixing.

Desk Clerks would not accomodate when I requested a fridge and microwave, would not let me pay the extra to change rooms. Mattresses were hard as a rock, I checked out one day early and had to call orbitz in order to make sure I wouldn't be charged for a second night, originally front desk said I would be charged the second night even if I left before check out but orbitz called the front desk and fixed it. Also children were running about and down the hallway late at night constantly yelling and running back and forth loudly in the hall, I did notify desk clerk of this situation but she was not apologetic. When I made my reservation my reservation said my room would have a coffee pot, microwave and fridge but my room had none of these. I even offered to pay extra to switch rooms but desk clerk told me if I did I would than be charged for two rooms!

Checkin was interrupted by a phone call, which the clerk took as we stood there waiting. After we were asleep someone attempted to enter the room using a key card repeatedly. Another few minutes passed, then the same clerk that had checked us in tried his key card. I then opened the door and she became very apologetic. About ten minutes later she called the room phone, again apologizing. She said that room showed no occupants. She did not adjust our bill for the inconvenience. Sleep was sporadic at best. I believe that this clerk needed extensive training. She obviously did not record our checkin. Otherwise the room would have shown as occupied.

Enter through a filthy front door and ashtrays, pass an out of service pool, go up a strange sounding elevator, walk across your damp carpet to a decent bed in a cleanish room with no lamps. Close to highway and tamarack

The hotel was great, my only complaint was that the vending machines weren't very well stocked.

Very unsanitary ....please have detailed cleaning done.....elevator stinks a bad carpet smell

Traveling late and stopped to get a couple of hours of sleep. Room was clean, no frills, but well worth the $60. Did have Wifi that connected easily and worked well. Decent continental breakfast was ready at 5:30 AM. Would recommend.

Hotel rooms are extremely small, and the beds are very small for just two adults

The room was clean, staff friendly, and site was close to I-77 so that we didn't have to travel far off the road to get to it. I did lose a bracelet in room and contacted hotel twice in 2 days to see if it was recovered. I surmise it was not found as i never heard back after seond time I called.

The electric outlets were all bad. I could not dry my hair or fix it. We were there on business. It was hard to live like this. When we checked out they billed us through American express. We paid with Visa. I am now spending a lot of time trying to get this straightened out. Not a good trip. We won't stay there again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and helpful The breakfast was simple but good quality The lights above the bed (tube-lights) needed to be replaced. The toilet seat did not stay up Was a good hotel and very conveniently located off the highway.

THE ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN AND MICE. THE ONLY PLUS. I WISH THAT THE REST OF THE BUILDING WAS THE SAME. HALLWAY WAS DIRTY AND SMELLY. FRONT DOOR HAD ONE LOCKING BAR MISSING. POOR UPKEEP ON HOTEL. WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER OCCUPANT THAT THE ELEVATOR HAD BEEN DOWN FOR THREE DAYS AND HAD JUST BEEN FIXED.

since I only needed a place to stay for the night, the room was nice enough. The desk clerk was very friendly gave me a good room location. It looks as if the building could use some repairs however. Overall I would say it's a nice place for at least one night.

room worked out wonderful for our travel plans - clean and comfortable. ease of location

Our stay was great and had no issues. The room was a bit stuffy but then again it was smoking room and the we just turned the air on and it was all good. I stay here whenever i go to Beckely WV and you should also.

When reserving rooms for overnight stay I specifically reserve NON-Smoking. When we first arrived the front staff was very friendly and helpful even tho there was an issue when we got to the floor where our room was to be. The third floor smelled really bad of cigarettes and when we got to our room the air conditioner did not work. We went back down to front desk and they did give us another room on a different floor which thank goodness was a non-smoking floor, at least that was why it didn't smell bad. Over all if a hotel is going to offer non-smoking rooms please make sure these rooms are not on the same floor or near a room that allows it. We don't smoke and should not have to breath other people's bad habits.

Thank you for your feedback. I do apologize the vending areas were not stocked well. I will speak with the company that owns them as well as stocks them. Have a blessed day.
