There is a $30 fee for pets to stay and you can only stay on the lower level. Plenty of grass for the pooches. Check in quick and easy. Very convenient and rooms clean. Breakfast could have been better.

This was the first time traveling with my cat. I had booked a room, asked for a higher floor away from the elevator, and told them I had my cat. Nothing was said over the phone about the "pet floor". Arriving at Fairfield, carted up my belongs, cat, carpet for underneath litter box, and litter box. During the booking I was told I was on the first floor which is like the basement (pet floor). I walked into the room, pulled in the cart and the nightmare began. The room was so over perfumed that my sinus started running. I called the front desk and asked them about the condition of the room. The same employee that checked me in came down to move me to another room. I had asked for, several times, to be moved to another floor. This is the pet floor and you have a pet right? This is what I was told!! I moved to another room which was the same, over perfumed smelly room. This time I didn't take my cat out of her carrier and started looking for a new hotel. I went upstairs and told "Mary" I could not stay in that room. Yes, I was reimbursed on my AMX card and found another hotel. Question? If you travel with an animal why are you subject to a lower quality room? These rooms are in need of removing carpet, updating furniture, and new air conditioning units. Then these rooms may be livable. Oh yes, I'm still waiting on Customer Service from Marriott to return my call.

I'd love to give this place 4 stars. The staff was friendly as could be. The breakfast was better than average. The bed was nice and soft (though pillows too high for my comfort). Rugs were all new. And the place looked like it had some recent renovations. But darn, I have a mold pet peeve and the tub had mold in a number of places. And dust along the top of the floor tile. It just wasn't squeaky clean.

Fine place to stop for the night. Good location, clean, quiet, good breakfast, friendly staff. Easy on and off the highway. No problems. Older hotel. However, nothing special. Standard Marriott Fairfax Inn, which is a good thing.

Stayed here on trip to VA. The hallway smells of dog poop. The room also not so clean. Beds not bad. Sorry...can't recommend this hotel. Will look for other hotels on future trips through the area. Wish we had time to look at others but got in late.

My husband and I traveling with our dog stayed in the lower level pet friendly floor. The room was clean and comfortable but the smell of chemicals was overwhelming. You could smell them as soon as you walked through the door to the lower level. Unable to eat in the room because of smell front desk had no idea of any pet friendly restaurants nearby.

We were traveling through to St. Louis with our family (including our four-legged member). Fairfield Inn was very accommodating, breakfast was good and it was a generally good night. So good that we booked a room for the return trip!

We stayed here one night without a reservation. The hotel had rooms available, was reasonably priced, and had good reviews, so we chose it. Our room, with two double beds, was on the fourth floor with a view of the mountains. The beds were comfortable, and the room and bathroom were clean (with a non-skid surface in the tub). Buzzy, the front desk attendant, was friendly. The location is good -- just off the highway and convenient to a number of restaurants. Breakfast had a good selection of food and the breakfast area had plenty of tables. I'd stay here again and have recommended this hotel to others.

Nice bedroom area. Clean with comfortable bed. Tv was a 32" - kind of small for today's standards. Tiny bathroom. You can turn on the sink faucet or the bathtub spigot from your seat on the toilet. Breakfast had a lot of choices, but the main course was powdered eggs and "sausage" circles. Have to step it up for a five star review. Overall, I was pleased with the stay and I recommend this hotel.

I booked the overnight to pick up our son from the Boy Scout Summit the next day. The staff was great, the room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was outstanding. If I need an overnight in the area again, this is the place.
