First I asked for extra decaf coffee when I checked in and she said they do not provide decaf coffee. I have stayed in hotels here and abroad and I think this is the first one that did not offer decaf. Also, she told me to park around the building in the horseshoe parking lot. OK that was fine however there was no indication from the lot which of the 3 or 4 doors I needed to enter to find my room. Might be nice to have numbers on the entrance doors that are visible from the vehicle.
Stayed at hotel with Son visiting some family in town. Hotel met expectations for price point but front desk staff were not the friendliest or accommodating. Our shower had no hot water as the valve was broken and when reported to front desk it didn't seem to be a priority for them to rectify. Luckily we had other family staying in the room next door so we utilized their shower. Probably look for another option on next trip.
Very low cost stay. Other than a hard bed, everything was great. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The food at the diner was just like home. Upgrade the beds and we'll be back.
Very clean, lots of parking, and the give you a food coupon for the diner
This is the best place to stay in Marysville. They have a newer building, and the rooms have a small fridge & coffee maker. There's also a small workout room for your convenience. The best part about staying here is breakfast at Penny's diner.
Clean, easy entrance, nice staff. Breakfast at Penny's Diner was very nice as well.
Average room, clean and easy access right off the highway. DO NOT GO TO THE DINER NEXT DOOR FOR SUPPER. IT IS DIRTY AND THEY WERE OUT OF ALOT OF THE MENU ITEMS. BETTER TO GO TO THE SONIC DRIVE-IN DOWN THE ROAD OR SOMEPLACE ELSE NEAR BY. FRONT DESK CLERK WOULD NOT GIVE ME A COPY OF THE RECEIPT EITHER. ALL OTHER HOTELS WE HAVE BOOKED THROUGH A BOOKING AGENT STILL GAVE US A RECEIPT WHEN WE CHECKED OUT IN THE MORNING.
This place had the best room on my trip around KS.
we had to wait 20 mins for washcloths, as there were only 2 for 3 of us. another family member had old food in the fridge, which was not working…needs some work
Had a nice stay. Hotel is generally clean and only shows minor signs of wear and tear. Only complaint is cleaning staff just kind of threw the bedspread up over the pillows after 1st nite of a two night stay. Really enjoyed the hearty diner breakfast at Penny's across parking lot.
The room was very clean with nice amenities like refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, iron, coffeemaker, etc. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff was very polite and helpful.
The first night or two I had to get to bed early (3am) due to meeting in the morning. Kept hearing noises so I looked out to find the maid service cleaning other rooms around 10pm or 11pm. There were other noises as well throughout my duration. I tried to cover it up with the TV. The hallway wreaked of ashtray though its a smoke free building. Also the following day, the price on the rooms went on sale. I questioned the front desk & they said that I made my reservation the day before the $10 discount took effect. And they couldn't find the reservation made via [...] when I arrived. They had to call Regional Manager who sent in the Local Hotel Manager to take care of the reservation. Luckily I had a print off from [...] or they may not have given me a room. Although it was the best hotel in the city, next time I may go down the road to the Surf Motel and get some sleep. And the restaurant in front (attached to Hotel) was not favorable. I was told per staff member, they would get to me, but while I waited the guy gave 4 others who came in after I did their menus, when I asked for one, he said roughly he'd get to me (all the while talking to the men) then looked shocked when I got up after 20 mins & left. An associate went days later to the same restaurant and received good service however reported the food wasn't the greatest and for two meals cost $16. Got better at a local diner in Manhattan, KS.
The receptionist at check-in was very friendly and helpful. The room appeared to be clean and comfortable. However, when I went to sleep I felt like I was getting bitten by something. I went to the front desk and told the receptionist about it (different one) and she acted like it was no big deal! She did not offer me another room or to refund any of the original price. I checked out and left a very unsatisfied customer!
