Breakfast was understocked, extremely greasy, and coffee was luke warm. Definitely sub-par.
We stopped in late while traveling. Staff was pleasant and courteous. While the area is just north of Madison, the area seemed safe. We rented a king room which was clean and large. Even had a small sectional for additional seating. The breakfast was adequate with selection of warm food. Scrambled eggs and sausage. While we only stayed a short time, we did not check out the pool area, but when we walked by it looked clean.
A lot of broken glass in the parking lot. Pool area wasn’t very clean and that’s why we booked the hotel. Definitely not a 4.3 out of 5. Employee service was good. Ram was very professional and helpful!
The remote for the TV had issues and the heat had a "maintenance" symbol on it. Just needs some updates.
The property is aging, and not too gracefully. The staff was either extremely perky in a very annoying way, or they ignored us altogether. But the worst “feature” was the breakfast staff. We witnessed several instances of the staff carrying clean bowls, plates and especially silverware with their fingers wrapped in and around the surface where one would eat. No gloves, and no evidence of freshly washed hands. In fact the young fellow would gather up the used plates, bowls, etc and walk them to the back and return in just a few seconds with “clean” items. Obviously not enough time to have washed his hands. But his hands were firmly wrapped around a handful of forks and knives. Besides that, the food was pretty standard hotel fare - powdered eggs, some sort of gross sausage, make it yourself waffles and various cold cereal and pastries. Speaking of cereal, on Sunday the 5 gallon milk container had curdled, even though the staff person grumbled that she had just changed it on Saturday. Ok what else? The room was mostly clean except for the HVAC unit. That thing hasn’t seen a cleaning in ages. The bed was ok. The shower unit appears to be a relatively new “insert-type” but wherever you stepped, the thing creaked, loudly!

Moldy shower curtains which was resolved. Moldy shampoo bottles which was resolved. Even though resolved, why did it occur? We had family in other rooms with mold problems. Not too safe and made for difficult sleeping. Worried what else was moldy. Would appreciate a full ot partial refund.
Great bed and pillows. Found the pool and fitness room to be clean . The location was convenient to the airport.
