They want me paid for the parking

It’s a very nice version of an old school cheap motel a la Ramada Inn from 2005 but insides are nicer furniture and design / updated. Breakfast is free but it’s highly processed food mostly like cereal, muffins in plastic wrappers, basically the snack section of a convenience store. They had Burritos but they were also frozen/plastic wrapped and the wrapper said “for institutional use only”. So that gives you an idea. It was free, but don’t expect to be eating healthy. Good coffee tho and a decent tea and powdered hot chocolate selection. Room has a fridge and a nice flat screen at least 42” so that was nice. Shower was the best part with good shampoos and soap selection. Towels are standard white but kinda softer than you’d expect. For the price it was good. 4/5

Loved it ! Spontaneous choice ! “I’ll be back…”

they advertise rollover extra beds but front desk said they did not and they dont have, mi kid has to sleep on the floor due this, staff never willing to help, no good atention

The hotel looks better in the pictures than in real life. It’s an older motel 6 type of property probably built in the 1950s/60s. Popcorn ceilings and the windows of the property are old from the original build. Think it used to be a Covid hotel where people were housed during the pandemic for homeless folks. Overall I think they did their best to try and revamp the property. I think if funding was available, they could spend more for renovations and make it more on point, but for the price ,it’s still one of the more affordable options than a Motel 6. They have a continental breakfast that is decent I guess . A little noisy hearing your neighbors if you have loud guests. The pool was closed and dirty not sure if they were cleaning it. I’d probably stay again if there was nothing else available .

We’ll maintained, good staffing

At 1st we got there and didn't like it ..small cramp and minor details. Then we like it ..the breakfast is good and a bit noisy for us but that's because we were next to the pool which closes at 10 and we are early birds. The staff is great and loved them. Over all 8 out 10 is our score ..we do like that it is close to everything touristy and close to highways and local restaurants.

I chose to stay here based mostly on the close proximity to Universal Studios and other attractions. The room was clean but it had a humid feel and odor when you first walk in. The both lamps were unplugged from the wall so I had to find them in the dark. The TV had no signal so I couldn’t watch anything at first. I had to program it to show only local over-the-air channels. I was disappointed that I also wasn’t provide any WIFI password nor instructions on how to enjoy the TV option. The sleep was good since I couldn’t hear the room next door. I enjoyed not being close to the main street traffic. The bathroom didn’t have a vent so it made it very uncomfortable to use it when sharing the room with others. The guy at the lobby was very helpful in suggesting local bars to go to close by. I would consider staying here again.

This is a GREAT hotel. You can tell it is an older California style motel but has been wonderfully refurbished and a lot of thought went into it's design. Internet was SUPERB. And YES they actually had a good breakfast (oatmeal, bagels, pastries, coffee, tea, orange juice). Wonderfully located in Sherman Oaks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Overall value for price was good compared to other options. It was less than 30 minutes to universal studios and Santa Monica pier. The hotel is older with some opportunities with improved (better location outlets, brown tiles in bathroom, shower walls bubbling, and poor tv signal).

Nothing fancy, but the stay was pleasant and the staff were so helpful and kind.

Looked very dated in the photos, and was happily surprised that everything was remodeled, room are retro style, new appliances, great bathrooms. A great experience!

Quiet and clean

Friendly front desk staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. The parking is a bit tight, but doable. If you have a larger truck, just beware it is a tight fit. Otherwise, it was a great stay and we enjoyed being close to everything in Sherman Oaks.

No cleaning of rooms or towel replacements during the whole week. Maribel at the office was great. Very helpful and friendly. Rooms are pretty small. Convenient location.

Hotel was dirty when we got our room, bed sheets were dirty as well.

Hello ABDI, Thank you for staying with us. We appreciate your feedback very much. We apologize if our site showed that we are offering rollaway beds. Unfortunately, that is not correct and we are currently working on getting that incorrect information updated. We are terribly sorry that your kid had to sleep on the floor and the team was not able to help. We will address this with the team to ensure it doesn't happen again. We are hoping you give us another chance to make your stay a more pleasant one. Come see us again! Thank you,Jaime AGeneral ManagerThe Sojourn

Hello Patricia, Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to let us know about your experience with us during your stay. We are sad to hear that your expectations were not met fully. We are continuing to make improvements in the hotel as we go. We chose to do some retro vibe for the renovation as the hotel has retro looks already. We are glad to hear that you joined us for breakfast and were able to enjoy some of the goodies. In fact yes, you are absolutely correct the property was doing some palm tree trimming and the pool was closed until they cleaned it up. We are happy to accommodate you in the near future. Come visit us soon! Thank you,Jaime AGeneral Manager
