The staff was great. More than great. The room was very clean, for the most part, but especially where it mattered. The bed was a little noisy but comfortable. Maybe bring your own pillow if you're picky. The walls are extremely thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring). The wall AC unit is incredibly loud. There was a strong smell coming from the shower drain. All that said, it was well worth the rate for the location and I would stay at the Sojourn again. There's a Le Pain Quotidien <5 minutes walking for a quick, healthy breakfast and very good coffee. Also the Sojourn stocks bottled water in the lobby fridge for guests--generally better than most hotels provide.

I appreciated the shampoo/body soap that was provided for my stay. My room looked very clean as well. I only wish that parking was included as part of the booking fee and that there were healthier breakfast options -- maybe eggs or something with more protein and less carbs

Clean grounds and room. Pretty basic but keeps the 1960’s road trip vibe. Staff is very nice and helpful. Pool is very retro cool with mid-century style furniture. Only thing I really disliked was charging $11 for parking in an open motel lot, and every hotel in LA thinks this is ok to do…and it is not, at least to me, paying $200+ for a room that has less amenities than a Motel 6. Not much around it as far as restaurants and stores unless you want to put on your hiking shoes and walk 1/2 mile or more. No iron or ironing board, no cups, so bring your own. No hair dryer and just a basic sink with no space to set things. Anyways, its in a great spot, close to a lot of cool things, so if you want to walk on the wild side, make a atop for the night here and pretend its the family station wagon pulling up in 1961 on vacation. Not much has changed on the exterior and it is very cool visually.

Great staff and room but beware of parking

Staff was so friendly and helpful, room was very clean and nice. The only thing that really hurt our stay was the parking situation. We came back from the amusement park around midnight, come to find out they don’t offer enough parking for everyone who is staying, we had to park our car on the street and get up before 8am to move it before it would get possibly a ticket or towed. It was a really rough sleep worrying that someone might hit our car or oversleep and it gets a ticket

This is a hotel you should not stay for more than a night or two. I loved the sky light in the bathroom, the shower had a weird smell, I did buy like the outdoor layout of the hotel. Parking is hard to find at night. I would not stay here again.
