Sheraton Universal Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

Walking distance to universal studios and Citi Walk! Staff was very helpful, restaurant service was really bad, we ended getting our own food from their buffet

The room was comfortable with the exception of the bathroom. It was very dated. The tub faucet dripped all night. The handles for the sink faucet were really tight and hard to turn on and off. The cost to park my car was almost $100 to for two nights.

Disappointing .....with Sheraton Universal Hotel. I was barely happy with the quality of the rooms and amenities. Can it be that expensive next to Universal Studio that you would skimp out on everything and charge $28/night for parking?

They have a shuttle that runs. But the hotel is within walking distance! Room was very nice and we would definitely stay here again!

The only thing this place really has going for it, is its proximity to Universal Studios and its free shuttle service, which runs every 15 minutes all day. The parking: You can pay $28/day to park in a dark and filthy garage (come and go) with a very sketchy elevator, or $38/day for valet. The lobby is nice, clean, wide open, the staff are pretty friendly. The elevators to go to your rooms are teeny tiny. Hallway is carpeted, decorated kind of dark, and a bit musty. The room has a decent overall appearance, open, nice big windows, comfy chair in the corner, multiple lamps, nice bedding. I felt like it could've been a bit cleaner, not that it was dirty, though. NO REFRIGERATOR, tiny mirror, and the bathroom is TINY! Smallest bathroom I have ever had in a hotel, including a super 8. Also, the ice machine was broken, there was no vent in the bathroom (or a window), and the walls were super thin. So anyway, just a lot of "dumpy" aspects, which wouldn't honestly bother me so much if I wasn't paying a bunch for the location, and paying $17 for two beers at their "bar" or $28/night to park, etc. I did not eat at their restaurant, however. Figured I'd rather get an $18 burger at Universal Studios or Citywalk.

Hotel within walking distance of Universal Studios and universal city walk. Free shuttle to and from Universal Studios and the city walk

I had no problems with the staff or location of the hotel, as both were great. But the rooms in the hotel are terrible, especially for the amount you are paying for the brand. Faucets leaking, black grout in showers, wall paper peeling, small plasma tv's and the air did not work properly in either of the 2 rooms I stayed in.

Great location, great trip. Hotel was clean and we could walk right to Universal Studios. Take a car if you are going around LA.

We were visiting from Monterey,CA to go to Universal Studios. After an awesome fun filled day at the park we were relieved to come relax at a close hotel. Our room did not come with a remote control for the TV, but the gentleman that came to deliver a control was helpful. My daughters loved the swimming pool!! My husband and I enjoyed the hotel restaurant and the restaurant staff... Very friendly and simply nice.

Location was great but the room was out dated for the price we paid.

Location was definatley a bonus as it was a very short walk to Universal Studios. As for the room it's was small and basic plus it didn't have a fridge. The beds wear comfy but but roome very small for the bed configuration. Would I Stay there again..NO as for what you got for price it was substandard for a Sheraton

I had stayed at this hotel before, clean. Great view of the valley.

Worth it every dollar you spend in this hotel! I so glad the moment I chose this Hotel! Irma C.

nice place and location just a little overpriced and they charge for parking

The hotel property and location are very good, but the staff from beginning to end were very friendly. First impressions are so important. The parking valet, the front desk, the lobby barman, the dining room servers--all very hospitable. Room service was good, dining room excellent, and if you want a change of pace for elegant dining or weekend brunch, walk across the parking lot and up the glass elevator to the adjacent Hilton.

Excellent Stay, Great pool, Good Dining, courteous service.

Family of five had some special requests. All requests were accommodated without hesitation. Great staff.

Close to all the studios and other Hollywood attractions great friendly staff, comfy rooms, luscious poolside restaurant. Highly recommend breakfast buffet

Good, clean hotel. Room service stops early but other than that it's a good location, easy to get around if you have a car

Walking distance from city walk a plus they also have a complimentary shuttle that will drop you off. I stayed in the Jr. suite that overlooked the pool. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
