The local was great

Too much noise, a guy just wondering around the parking lot night and day. Not enough parking.

Staff Rude and Room was dirty will never go back.

My family and I were told we couldnt even stay there! We drove from Washington to downey in 2 days just to get to our final destination for a 2 night stay for my mother in law funeral for the jackwad at the front desk to tell me that because we reserved the king bed we couldnt stay there and that we'd have to cancel BECAUSE MY INFANT DAUGHTER AND 5YR OLD SON WERENT ON THE STUPID RESERVATION!!!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS???? AND THEN HE HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME THE DAYS ANYWAYS BECAUSE HE WAS BEING A COMPLETE A**HOLE ABOUT IT, THE PLACE WAS RUN DOWN AND LOOKS LIKE ONLY DRUGGIES GO THERE!! We called orbitz right away before the jackwad checked us in and charged us and that took forever!

Friendly stuff , clean rooms , nice locations close to freeways.

It was clean. Cable bathroom was nice breakfast is okay cereal bread juice yogurts parking was good nice area

Motion censor light kept comming on all night. People above us banged on floor/ ceiling until late.

We left behind some clothing and the staff immediately called us. Thank yoy

Carpet in room was dirty I didn’t notice till 2nd day and when I mentioned it they said they would look into it. I came back that night and they didn’t do anything about it. When I told them again on the 3rd day when checking out they said they would look into it again, never offered any refund or discount or apologize. I’ve stayed here 3 times before but will never stay here again !!!

Good location close to everything, Hotel need some improvements bathroom beds to small

I stay at days inn almost every time i visit my family in Downey. And it’s it never disappoints when it comes to room readiness and cleanliness. Can’t say the same about the staff. I’ve experienced a few different front office check in clerks and it seems their attitude is only worse than the last. But luckily I only get to deal with them twice(check in and check out) otherwise great stay!!

This hotel is on the corner of an extremely busy intersection and my wife and I could not sleep at all due to the outside noise. I've never stayed somewhere so noisy in my whole life. I will never stay in this hotel again.

They first gave me a room with one bed for three of us (in error) and the next day when I asked for a towel they refused to give me one until I paid extra for the additional person. I advised them that I was going to call Orbits to straighten out the room and when I came back to the room they had locked us out with our stuff inside! They were extremely rude and the rooms were so dirty! They sheets had blood on them! Worst experience ever!

Convenient location, nice, and clean. Would recommend and stay again.

Wonderful and very pleasant at the Days inn. I would recommend it to any one.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The lobby and amenities are nothing to write home about, but the room itself was brand new, very clean, and comfortable. There are lots of stores and restaurants nearby that were convenient for business travel. The subway was accessible, but it took about an hour to get into LA proper via public transportation. No frills, but the room was great and I would stay here again for the value.

Let me just preface this review by stating that I am VERY VERY picky when it comes to hotels. I very rarely can force myself to stay at places that are not 4-star and up. However, on this trip to L.A., I had been staying at a 4-star location near LAX and, unexpectedly had to extend my stay. Since I was traveling on business but was not going to be reimbursed for this hotel stay, I had to think of my budget. This Days Inn was the ONLY place I could find that was within budget (less than 100 bucks per night) and seemed clean and modern. So, this place has been newly renovated. The renovations are aesthetically nice. Everything looked modern and new. However, there were little things which gave away that I was still staying in a fairly low budget facility. PROS: The location is GREAT, especially compared to the LAX location I was staying in the night before. Starbucks is walkable, the mall and many eateries are within walking distance. Many big box stores (Micheals, Ross etc) are a short drive down the road. Downey is convenient to several freeways including the 5, 105 and 605. There is a casino within 5 miles. I actually used to live in Downey about 9-10 years ago and its a great little city. Parking and internet are free. This is HUGE in L.A. At the 4-star place in which I was previously staying, I had to fork over an extra 40 dollars PER NIGHT for parking and internet. So, I appreciated this. There is a free continental breakfast. The room was spacious and the design choices they made are nice. The bed was comfy and large. CONS: These were my clues that this place was still, at heart, a motel....the things that would never fly at 4-star locations: The ironing board (clearly not part of the reno) was FILTHY and disgusting. I would have just taken my clothes to the bed to iron them but the iron was ATTACHED to the ironing board to prevent theft. I did not want to put my clean clothes on that nasty thing!! The towels, although clean, were ratty and some had holes in them. Also, maybe it was the detergent they use on the towels, but I felt like they were hard and had some sort of residue on them. There was a giant gap under the door to the room and, not surprisingly, I was visited by several crawling and uninvited guests. After battling a giant spider and a cricket, I had to stuff a towel under the door my last night there. This was REALLY disappointing as I am a bug-a-phobe. I will say, though, that the gap under the door seemed to only be under the door of the room I was in - an easy fix for the motel, but it needs to be fixed! The air conditioning (also not a part of the reno) was very loud. I couldn't run the air and watch the television at the same time without blasting the T.V. ( a pain to my neighbors I am sure). The room really does not have enough lighting. But, to be fair, I find this to be a problem in most hotels. Both Pro and Con: The room came with a fridge and microwave. Nice. However, both were clearly very old and the fridge was not the quietest thing in the world. Overall, I am glad I stayed at this Days Inn and I may try it again (but I would want a different room). I am still a 4-star and up kinda girl but, if I had to watch my budget, this is a very good option. Oh, and if you are not nearly as picky as I am (i.e. you do not require 4-star+ accommodations normally) you will likely love this place. I am fully aware of how picky I am!

The location is in a mall parking lot so that should tell you a lot. It's ok for a one night stay, but I wouldn't stay longer than that.
