I live in the area and have family coming into town for the Holidays, since this place is near I decided to walk over and ask for some prices. Upon arriving the first thing I notice is the empty parking lot... Not a single car. The front desk office door was locked, no one in sight. After about two minutes of waiting, a lady came to the door in her socks and no shoes... to let me in. Not only was the woman not wearing shoes, she was wearing what looked like PJs. When I asked if they were open, I got a confused looked. I mentioned the door being locked at 10am seemed a little odd, and inquired about crime as most businesses do not keep their doors locked in the middle of the day. As someone who has worked in numerous hotels, I can promise you none of this is selling point to a potential customer. When I asked about pricing and availability I got a blank stare. It took a few minutes to get an answer on pricing, which was only nightly. Staying more than a night meant she had to call her manager who may or may not answer and may not even return the call until tomorrow???.I then asked to tour a room so I could get a better idea of the amenities offered. Big mistake. Once in a room with two beds, I was told I ask too many questions. Clearly asking what cable package the room has is not okay. I asked if it was possible to see a room with just one king bed, and after an eye roll my request was granted. This room was much nicer than the first, but I was banned from taking a picture to show my mom. Okay, fine. The entire conversation with this woman in her Pjs seemed like a big inconvenience. I was told multiple times that I ask too many questions. However is it not the desk clerks job to answer questions about the hotel they are running? I am still unclear on the pricing, what nights they have open, if a breakfast is included, etc. After touring, we returned to the office because I asked for some quotes that I never recieved. When I pulled my phone out to call my mom, the screaming started. "You can't take pictures, get out, I will not rent to you, I will call the police." She then ran off to the back and slammed a door. THIS HOTEL IS A SCAM AND POORLY RUN. Do yourself a favor and never even bother with this place.
This hotel is clean and maintained well. Very friendly staff that actually cares about customers. We stopped at late night and had a special request for the person running at the desk. he was very kind and professional.
I live right around the corner from this place, I called to get a quote for my family coming to visit from the east coast since it is so close and looks to be well kept. When I called the woman on the other end of the line sounded like I was inconveniencing her and that it was impossible for her to give me a price due to whoever was screaming in the background. Once I finally got enough of her attention to explain I was looking for a total price for a range of dates she told me the price would be $164 per night. I again asked her if that was the price for every night in my date range and if she could confirm the total for the stay, she again gave me only the nightly price very obviously not paying attention to my request yet again. I asked a third time and was told by the lady that she could not give me a price for the whole stay because the price would go up over the holiday and weekends confirming what I thought since that is common practice with most hotels. I continued to try and get a price for the entire stay out of her and she either interrupted me with useless information or just flat out didn't answer the question. I finally pinned her down on wanting the price per night for each night or a total price to which she tole me "It was too early for that, they hadn't set the rates yet." I was told to call back later, so I asked for a date when I should call back to which again I was given the run around. Finally after what was entirely too long of a conversation and yielded me no useful information I was told to call back in a week. You can believe that next Monday I will be calling just for the pure fact that I can update this review and confirm that whoever this woman is has no business being in a customer service capacity and that no one should be subjected to the poor service that this hotel initially has to offer!
After arriving at home, I discovered that I had left my hanging bag in the closet at the hotel. I called the manager at the hotel who quickly located the bag and promptly shipped it to my house. Thanks again.
Everything was dated except for the tv. Room had a fridge but no microwave. It was relatively quiet considering the property being next to the freeway. Overall not a nice place to stay and enjoy. If you're exhausted and don't care then it would probably be fine.
I researched places to stay in Burbank and this place had good reviews so we gave it a shot. It lived up to our expectations. Rooms were nice, comfortable and clean. The staff, which I think may have been the owner, was very pleasant and efficient. Price was great. Location was good near the freeway, the only draw back, it was a little challenging to get out of the driveway into traffic. I wasn't looking for fancy with frills, just a nice comfortable clean reasonably priced place and was very pleased. I would definitely stay there again.
Nice stay with clean rooms and very friendly staff. They took care of our luggage the whole day even though we allready checked out. Not far to the hollywood hills...we had to change a reservation that was allready confirmed on booking.com which was no problem. We could also use the computer and printer for free!
Really nice little hotel. Kind, helpful staff. Super clean rooms, comfy bed. Free (good connection) wifi, right off the 5. Big tv. Nice quality toiletries. Very nice little surprise. Made my trip very pleasant.
We booked this hotel as we were traveling to LA to see a show at the Pantages. The day before we were to leave my traveling companion got a call that a friend's son had died of a drug overdose. My friend thought maybe she might be needed to help counsel her friend as my friend had a church relationship with the other person and also my friend experienced the same thing with her son. So we cancelled the reservation. As it turns out my friend was able to assist her friend and the trip to LA was back on. I called the hotel and asked if they still had rooms there. When I explained the situation the "receptionist" said "Well, you shouldn't have cancelled the reservation, duh." But it was going to cost us the price of the room if we didn't cancel. 2 hours after my inquiry, and assurance from the wife that a room was still available, the husband called me back to tell me that the room price had increased $30 because I had previously cancelled the reservation. I explained out situation and his response was "That's business". So, we won't be staying there even though a room was available. I understand being in business and all but he wasn't concerned about our issue and was more concerned about making money. I get it. It's a business but I just hope when he needs a break others will be more compassionate about the circumstances than he was with us.
Just stayed for the night. Nice, clean room. They might want to have someone watching the reception desk. I was standing there for like 15 minutes before someone came out. I had to knock really loud and yell "Hello" a few times 😒😒. Other that that it was okay. I would go again.
