We had to wait awhile to check in as the previous guests had a late check-out which was the only complaint but it was very minor I only mention it to heads up future guests that this is a very busy hotel. Great restaurant, great pool for all ages. Wave pool is a little small for making waves. We stayed in the family suite with balcony to the pool, very loud but we enjoyed hearing our child and others having so much fun at this hotel.
This used to be a great hotel but has gone downhill. When I checked in I was openly and rudely told that since I used Hotels.com to book my room (and did not book through them) that they would be putting us in a lower standard of room. This lower standard room backed onto the pool and consisted of an overwhelming constant chlorine smell and the sound of loud screaming children in the pool until 10pm so my child was not able to nap in the room. When we got up for breakfast all they had available was a tray of freezing cold scrambled eggs, 4 sausages in a tray (with about 7 people in line for them), white bread and cereal. Over half of our hockey team ate at the nearby McDonalds or Tim Hortons both mornings because there was no warm edible food for our kids and the were no healthy options like fruit or yogurt available at other hotels. We took the kids to the famous wave pool which no longer has the waves turned on or the tubes to ride down the waterslides. Our team choose this hotel for the water park but in the end we just ended up paying more for a hotel with just a now regular pool, cold breakfast and miserable staff. Save your money and stay at a hotel which actually puts some effort into ensuring you have a great stay.
We stayed at the hotel and had a pair of $450.00 glasses stolen from our hotel room. 10 days of us phoning and attending in person we finally spoke to " THE WORST GENERAL MANAGER" I have ever had to deal with. His question to me was, " you would have me accuse my staff?" I AM A POLICE OFFICER with 16yrs of operational policing and this guy was absolutely useless. We were offered zero compensation or resolution. I will be filing a formal police report with the local police force.
We stayed november long weekend here for 1 night. They gave us a bigger room which had a conference area and wrap around balcony attached because our standard room was not ready. This was a pleasant surprise, because we were having a little birthday party there for our grandson, so was nice to have the area. The kids and adults really enjoyed the pool, and everyone said all the pool areas were nice and warm. All and all was a pleasant stay.
The WORST GENERAL MANAGER i have ever had to deal with. My son in law had cc in his car n he was 4 hours behind us. Room was already paid for. This was called and explained before arrival. I even explained at arrival.as well, even after offering them $200 in cash until cc arives for their required $30 incidentals pre auth. Instead of allowing my children and i into room. We were left to sit in a vehicle for 4 and a half hours late time of day out in parking lot with my small children. Then when cc arrived and even after expedia spoke to them also this General Manager was ignorant n rude. To top off when we finallly got to go in. He cancelled my families room. Which left us out $151 for the room cost which was pre paid and on hunt for a new room to rent for a couole hours sleep. In the city at late hours of the night, With my small children. Totally unexceptable. Completely unprofessional.
Booked 3 night stay over thanksgiving. Booked direct was told upon arrival show our gov ID and we would get gov rate. Arrived only to be told there is no gov rate on suites. Wasn't pleased was tired and didn't want to fight the fight, but did tell the manager I would write a review. I got a shrug of the shoulders from him followed by him rolling his eyes at my daughter as he walked passed..... really professional. The girl at the desk was really nice and seemed somewhat embarrassed by the whole situation We had a one bedroom pet friendly suite. Why is it that hotels give the crappiest of rooms when you have a pet. Room was stuffy and smelly. Facing the waterpark with windows that didn't open, no airflow what so ever. No natural light, felt like being in a concrete tomb. Heat/air conditioning was so loud but when not running the room was stifling. Furnishings are very dated and in desperate need of updating . Beds have some type of pillow top that are lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. With the windows facing the watermark with was noisy from 10am to 10pm We tried to find alternative accommodation unfortunately it was a long weekend and there was also a basketball tournament happening ,all other options were sold out. Would not recommend this place at all. Totally disappointed all around Hotel itself is
We stayed for two nights here at the end of August. It was a really nice hotel very clean and quiet. The pool was excellent. The water is very warm and there are two nice waterslides and a kiddie splash park. One thing I would ask about is that they charge an optional tourism tax. Just like Niagara Falls. Basically a mystery tax that is charged to Guests to help lethbridge get more tourists. Ask and they will remove it.
We booked two room for the night before the solar eclipse and were pleasantly surprised! Our rooms were on a summer sale (perhaps due to some renovations underway) and with the hot breakfast included, it was a fantastic deal! The beds and pillows were comfy and we had a great view from the 7th floor. The place was clean but did have a mild "old carpet" smell, but it did not affect us. The hot breakfast had a great variety of choices and was much appreciated. The location near the edge of town gave us a quick exit out of town for the next morning. The Japanese gardens are just a few minutes walk away.
The water park was a great addition to our stay. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is located in a great spot very close to pretty much everything? All around a great stay!
Perfect swimming pool and nice hot tub, kids love it, the carpet is a little bit old so smell a little weird, well established, nice breakfast, overall it's nice place to live here, close to costco KFC Burger King shoppers , nice and clean. The room is big enough and quite in the evening , will come again
