A clean property with a good variety for breakfast. Fast shuttle service. The rooms are older and AC is noisy.
Poorly maintained
Good!
excellent
I was dissappointed to find that the restuarant was closed and the only dining option was take out in the bar. Add to that the bar was understaffed and it was a long wait for services. The hotel was at full capacity so staff were streatched.
No fridge/mini bar in room. Room was incredibly humid even w air con. Very limited vegetarian or gluten free options. Incredibly expensive food for what you got. Bed was great tho. And the shower got hot quickly and had amazing water pressure. Slept like a log!
Like the additional mirror /vanity outside the bathroom for two people sharing room.
Rooms do not get cleaned until checked out. Therefore you have to make your own bed and fetch clean towels. Diabolical considering the daily price of room.
Rooms needed updated carpet, mattresses etc. The thermostat was broken.
Our room was terrific - oh, my goodness huge! Have never had such a roomy & amenable bathroom/closet! The pool area was tired - and the hot tub looked as if 100 young children had been in it - but the fitness area had a terrific selection of equipment and free weights. Restaurants were far too expensive when there are plenty of other reasonable places within an easy drive. There is a definite "pinch point" at the entrance with people arriving and leaving - cart storage & return - computer center - elevator - etc. all right by the doors. Why (in July!) were the fire pits working right outside the door - and more to the point - why are so many parking spaces coned off, denying access to closer parking? One business truck was parked in the closest handicapped spot for the entire 4 days we were there - never once moved as evidenced by the flower buds that covered it. Speaking of flower buds (from the beautiful crepe myrtles) - the buds could be blown away from around the entrance - and the maintenance people should make an effort to pick up the trash. I know this sounds terrible - but once we got to our room - we were very comfortable!
Overall, it was a decent stay, but not what you might expect from Hilton. A 4-star hotel for 100$/night comes with certain expectations. I had no problems checking in, but the staff late in the day came off very rude. As for the room itself, it was very standard. Didn't care for the fact that it was a connected room and the showerhead was basically nonfunctioning. The mattress left a lot to be desired and the room didn't stay very cool. As much as I hate to say it, I've had better stays at 2.5 star hotels. They left a lot to desired. At the very least the daytime staff were very friendly.
The room is always nice but some of the fixtures are not fully attached to the wall in the bathroom (towel holder is loose) and a few lights were burned out in the bathroom. NOT a huge deal breaker but annoying. Also the wall paper is ripping in the main room - i just noticed it on my way out. it's a suite but probably needs to be renovated.
Hotel was excellent. Restaurant food was just ok. It was also very expensive. Better to order delivery.
